Temple Bar is around 6-8 miles from Dublin Airport. Depending on traffic, it usually takes about 25 to 35 minutes by taxi. You can also get there easily via public transport – there are regular buses and airport shuttles that go straight into the city centre, and from there it’s just a short walk to Temple Bar. 

At The Temple Bar pub itself, you can enjoy a pint of Guinness, listen to live traditional music and soak in the lively Irish pub atmosphere. It’s a great spot to chat with locals and fellow travellers. Whiskey fans will love exploring the pub’s massive selection – one of the largest in Ireland. It’s very popular with tourists, so if you’re looking for a quieter pint, you might want to explore one of the nearby pubs just outside the main square. 

There’s loads to explore around the Temple Bar district! You can visit cultural spots like the Irish Film Institute, the Gallery of Photography or the Project Arts Centre. There are also great places to shop for local crafts, vinyl records and souvenirs. The food scene is lively too, with cafes, restaurants and markets serving everything from traditional Irish dishes to international eats. And if you’re into nightlife, it’s one of the best places in the city to hop between pubs.

Because it’s such a popular spot, especially in the evenings and on weekends, it can get very busy, so it’s best to arrive early if you want a good seat.

Most Premier Inns have specially-adapted rooms allowing easier access for customers with disabilities. If there is no specially-adapted room available at the hotel of your choice, we will be happy to offer you alternative accommodation at a nearby Premier Inn. If you have difficulty walking, but do not need a specially-adapted room, please feel free to request a room near reception on the ground floor for easy access.
