Liverpool City Centre (Albert Dock) hotel

Brilliant hotel, go every year for family reasins. Beds comfortabble and rooms vert quiet. Very friendly reception and food excelkent and very goid value for money.

Pros - Great location, parking nearby and decent breakfast. Cons - overbearing smell of aerosol in reception, mould in bathroom and waited over an hour for dessert, I had to walk out after a hour due to a meeting and wasn’t offered a refund.

A little better than your standard Premier Inn because it's in a great location for Beatles fans and regular tourists, and is built in a converted old warehouse which is interesting. Room was clean; no noise even though the floors in the corridors creak a lot. Next door to The Beatles Story museum and a few steps from various tour buses (the Magical Mystery Tour was great!). Right next to the river, and lots of restaurants around the back of the hotel, in Albert Dock (facing inwards to the dock). Breakfast good, although a bit crowded. Nice view (costs extra). Only problem was that the window couldn't be opened (for safety reasons), and that made the room stuffy and warm, despite the sign saying there is constant airflow (we didn't feel any), and the bathroom took forever to clear after a shower (plenty of hot water and pressure, though). A fan was provided, so that helped. Still, good value for the money, as it was a much better price than other hotels in the city.

Very poor, I am disabled, booked online, then rang to confirm booking for an accessibility room and informed them that breathing equipment would be in use, Woman on the call, assured me that an accessibility room has been booked and that there was no issues bringing in breathing equipment. Arrived, checked in, was given a room that was at the far end of the hotel, quite a trek through alot of corridors Wasn't an accessibility room, neither were there plug sockets located by the bed to plug in breathing apparatus. Went back down to reception to query this, to be told that there was NO notes on my booking, they hadn't been put on, the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing they could do. Eventually was moved to a room more closer, but had to ask for an extension cable to run from plug sockets along back wall to plug in breathing equipment at side of the bed, this then posed a trip hazard. What made the week end worse was because we weren't in an accessibility room, I couldn't access the bath or shower, so had to rely on strip washes!

Hotel location was excellent. Close enough to the city centre to walk. Very quiet at night time. Plenty of restaurants and shops at the Albert docks. Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay again.
