"Shuttle Bus Timetable Misinformation"
I received an email on the 1/5/25 in which it gave the times of the Shuttle Bus & advising the times it didn't run due to driver breaks, so we planned our departure bus time for the next day accordingly. We went outside & the bus duly parked up & the driver went inside. We thought it might be a comfort break, but when he hadn't emerged after 10-15mins I went inside to be told by Reception that the driver was on a break & pointed to a timetable stuck to the desk (which wasn't obvious on check-in). When I showed him the email I had received with the times he replied 'yeah, that needs updating'. No apology or anything. If you are going to send out incorrect information, at least highlight the timetable at check-in, as I'm sure the majority of people will be getting an early shuttle, otherwise they would travel on the day they are flying. With a further 15-20mins wait, we had no option but to order an Uber to the airport. We have stayed here many times & will again, largely due to the shuttle service, so were very disappointed on this occasion.
"Airport Hotel"
Second time at this hotel before flying off to the US. Excellent service and rooms are modern and very clean. Bus transfer is 3 euros and is literally door to door.
"Not the best Premier Inn on the block."
Premier Inns are usually pretty reliable (if dull), but this one fell short of the mark. It started when we drove in and there were no signs to reception. Eventually found it but should be less of an adventure. Reception itself was prompt and friendly. parking was also confusing (at least to Yanks) because apparently the exit gate reads your license plate. That may be, but either half or all of the exit gate was stuck open. Fifteen quid down the drain. Beware that you will need a 20 cent coin to "borrow" the luggage carts. Felt like an Aldi. Room was much smaller than at other PIs, and it was a Queen bed rather than a king (as in most PIs). There were only two bath and one hand towel for two people. Pretty chintzy. The curtain system was ingenious and allowed for the two sides to overlap perfectly and block the light. Unfortunately, we were up early anyway to catch a flight. A/C worked well once you figured it out since the printed instructions were not helpful. Getting in and out of the shower is like getting on and off a horse so beware if you are physically challenged. Check out was smooth. By far the least expensive option in the area, but might have more success at a local ABnB.
"Good"
Comfortable and staff very helpful, paid for an early check in and got in earlier. The Swords express takes to Dublin for €5 but bear in mind, it’s a coach so no standing, the first one that arrived couldn’t take us as it was full. Didn’t come back on it for that reason. Regular shuttle to the airport.
"Great hotel close to Dublin Airport"
It was a seamless process throughout our stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable . Looking forward to our next stay at the Premier Inn.
