"Avoid if You Expect Basic Standards"
Appalling Service at a Supposedly Decent Hotel Currently still staying here and felt compelled to write this review before my stay even ends – it’s that bad. To put it plainly: the room has not been cleaned once during our stay. We weren’t informed at check-in or during booking that you must request housekeeping daily – how is that not made clear upfront? There is even a sign in the bathroom instructing guests to place used towels in the bath for replacement – which we did. Came back after the first day? Room untouched. Towels still in the tub. I called reception from my mobile (since the room phone doesn’t work – another issue) and was told I should’ve requested cleaning. Fair enough – so I did for the second day and was told to be out of the room by 11am. We made sure the room was empty. Returned at 9pm – and once again, room not cleaned. No fresh towels. Had to go to reception again to complain. The young woman at the desk was kind and helpful, but admitted that her supervisor wouldn't do anything and handed me a complaint card. That says it all. Then I spoke with Lana, the supervisor, who was completely dismissive. She even told me she could see it was written down that I had requested cleaning — and yet offered no apology, no explanation, and no solution. Just a shrug and vague promise to "check with housekeeping." It was clear she didn’t care. I have a child competing in a national swimming competition, and ensuring basic rest and hygiene is important. I’ve already paid in full, and this hotel seems to think being near an airport means they can provide bare minimum service and get away with it. It's unacceptable. No working phone, no fresh towels, no cleaning, no accountability, no clear communication, and no care from management. I've stayed in budget hotels that treated guests better. This is not what you expect from a hotel charging these rates – and I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

"Really Disappointing Stay"
Stayed here for a full week for a National competition. Rooms were really poorly laid out, TV didn’t work, phone disconnected and bedside lockers removed!!! Very bare!! Also had to request the room to be cleaned each day which was not done 2 days in a row!!! They gave us a pile of towels to calm us down!! Bathroom ended up full of towels after 3 days!!! Food really poor! Staff just going through the motions! Wouldnt recommend no matter how close it is to the airport.

"Absolutely perfect for connections to Dublin Airport"
This was an absolutely perfect place to stay before our flight out of the Dublin airport. The hotel felt brand new. The rooms were phenomenal - we were fortunate that one of our rooms was on a corner and larger in size, but both were outstanding.
My main reason for booking this hotel - airport transportation - was flawless. This was not the kind of shuttle I've experienced at other hotels. It stuck to the posted schedule perfectly. Check the schedule and plan accordingly. Note that the driver gets a (well-deserved, undoubtedly!) break at two points during the day, which is noted in the schedule. The shuttle was very easy to use and impeccably punctual. The cost is €3 per adult. Our kids were all free. They accept cash and credit/contactless payment.
We are a family of five, so we did have to book two rooms, but I couldn't find a better value in Dublin for our family. With very generous and delicious dinners and breakfasts included, as well as all taxes and fees, it was €150 per room. We are budget travelers and we were very pleased. The dinner options for our family were far beyond what we expected, and we had a great family meal. Breakfast was huge and fantastic.
Getting to the airport from this Premier Inn is easy! Plan according to the schedule and look for a shuttle sign in the hotel lobby. The Premier Inn shuttle dropped us off right at our terminal.
Getting to the hotel from Dublin with public transportation was easy, too! The Swords Express apparently goes to a stop very near the hostel. In our case, though, we needed to get to the hotel from Heuston Station, which limited our options. We ended up taking the Dublin Express from Heuston to the airport, then caught the Premier Inn shuttle from the airport. (Dublin Express is great, too - coaches leave at least every 20 minutes from Heuston Station. I was actually glad that I DIDN'T purchase a Dublin Express ticket in advance, as it was easy to purchase right by the coach. We traveled during evening rush hour, which it's hard for times to be precise.)
For planning purposes, note that the Premier Inn shuttle picks up from Zone 16 of the Dublin Airport. There are shuttles out of Dublin that drop off at Zone 16, but none of them picked up from Heuston, so we took the Dublin Express to a terminal and followed the airport map to get to Zone 16. It was an easy, covered, and well-marked walk, but I'd plan on ten minutes to get from either terminal to Zone 16. We got to Zone 16 at 6:25 pm, hoping the Premiere Inn shuttle would be there as scheduled at 6:30, and they absolutely were! We were so grateful. It had been a long day. :D
Highly recommended for connections to the Dublin Airport! We were advised to stay at a more expensive hotel even closer to the airport, and I'm so glad we went with Premier Inn instead. Our stay was just perfect. I can't imagine anything being more convenient than this.

"Avoid, and check prices for other hotels in the area carefully before opting for this hotel."
We stayed in this hotel the night of Storm Eowyn prior to not flying to Madeira the following day. A pretty good stay in a Plus room for €85.
In general, we like Premier Inns, but it is almost certainly the last time we'll book this particular hotel.
We knew parking was going to cost us €15 for one night, taking the cost to €100, but as there was little option, we paid it, but begrudgingly. These "extras" are beginning other get out of control, much like the "kiss and drop off" charges at airports, though luckily its not affecting Dublin Airport yet as the outcry was so immense they dropped the idea!
However, having rebooked the holiday for October, we looked to rebook the same Premier Inn for the night before. We were truly shocked to see the prices had almost doubled!! There was no apparent reason for this, until I learned that the cheaper Travelodge hotels in the area (Premier Inn's only competition at that end of the market) was block booked by the government for immigration purposes. As a result, Whitbread has decided to increase the prices to that of the higher quality hotels in the area.
The only issue with this is the parking charge is still added, moving the price of the room to beyond hotels that are far superior. So why book Premier Inn at Dublin Airport now?
Beats me.
So we booked a better hotel, with rooms that are cheaper, parking the night before for just a few Euro (kind of more what's to be expected) but also with the option to leave the car there for the duration of our holiday (at rates significantly cheaper than on airport parking), taking instead a complimentary shuttle bus to the airport (again, Premier Inn charge for this (more added extras) but don't offer parking for the duration, so why?
Anyway, suffice it to say Premier Inn at Dublin Airport have priced their own hotel out of the market once you've factored in the added expense of parking and shuttles. My advice, check carefully the price of other hotels in the area and include all the "extras" that are not included in the basic price, I think you'll be surprised at just how expensive Premier Inn is.
We won't be booking this hotel again until they reduce the prices in line with the quality and service on offer.

"A very enjoyable stay."
The room had everything required, staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient and prepared to go above and beyond. The food in the restaurant was of a good standard in the evening and the breakfast was excellent.
