"Clean room and friendly staff but breakfast offer could be better"
We stayed at this PI last night when attending the Iron Maiden gig at the Hydro as we got the room at a decent rate. I was glad that we were allocated a room on the top floor. Our bedroom and en suite were nice and clean although the bedroom window (exterior) could’ve done with a clean as it spoiled the view across to the Campsies! The room initially felt hot however we were really impressed with the 360 degree fan which was in situ and rapidly cooled the room down. The hotel was nice and peaceful through the night and I slept pretty well on the comfy PI bed. We decided to treat ourselves to continental breakfast. I was a bit disappointed with the food offer in that there was no Alpen Muesli but had granola. Also there were only tubs of natural yogurt (no fruit yogurts), laid out on a plate with no ice and thus a bit on the warm side which was off-putting. There also didn’t appear to be any pain au raisin (could actually do with labelling them as it was unclear whether they were raisin or choc and I don’t really do choc at breakfast time lol). Disappointing lack of choice considering what you pay for a continental breakfast nowadays. The staff we interacted with were all efficient and friendly. Would stay at this PI again when attending a gig in the city.
"Festival stay"
Easy check in & out , Staff couldn’t do more for you 3 fussy veggies at breakfast catered for with no fuss involved Alan was very friendly & made sure we had everything , we stayed 2 nights for festival in Glasgow centre got a taxi there & walked back in the evening. Would stay again.
"Too hot, no air conditionaing"
No airconn in a very warm room supplied fan had to be used all night sounded like we were camped on a motorway, very little sleep.
"Last min booking"
Warm welcome, clean and comfy room, bathroom was immaculate. We didn't use the parking so I can't comment on that. I love a Premier inn as you can always rely on them. But the staff at this one were so welcoming and friendly. We booked very last min as the original hotel we booked was locked, so we turned up flustered and tired. They looked after us well and even helped sort a taxi to take us in the morning.
"Great for a stopover"
Lovely Premier Inn. Rooms very quiet. Very clean. Stopped for one night en route to north west Scotland. Does what it says on the tin!
