    From A8, turn right onto A702 Lothian Road. Turn left into Lauriston Place. The hotel is situated on the left at the junction with Lauriston Street. Discounted Car parking is available at Castle Terrace (EH1 2EW).

    The hotel is situated about 800 yards from the NCP at Castle Terrace, approximately 8 minutes walk. Pay via the NCP app using Promo Code PREM6LP which will discount the cost to £15 per continuous 24 hour stay, or by paper ticket at the barrier which discounts the cost to £17 per continuous 24 hour stay although this facility will soon be withdrawn from use to app only. Parking cannot be paid in advance if you wish to receive the discounted rate.

    "Disappointed staff unhelpful and not friendly"
    Very tired and grubby not what you expect for premiere inn. Definitely the worst we’ve ever stayed in. Staff were surly and begrudgingly helped room was clean bed comfy, but the sockets didn’t work hairdryer didn’t work usb didn’t work hot water didn’t work in sink and when we mentioned to the desk staff they told me it was because they had been too busy to do maintenance! Certainly wouldn’t stay there again
    "Sleepless night"
    Very friendly staff however from the moment we arrived in room windows were open with strong smell of cigarette smoke and load talking throughout the evening after looking out the window we see we was above the staff rear door Heavy bin lorry traffic and banging from 6am to 8.30am this led to a poor nights sleep
    "Good place to stay"
    We have stayed at this hotel many times during the Edinburgh Fringe festival (19 years in fact!). We have always found the staff welcoming, and the hotel bright and comfortable. It is also very well situated for getting around Edinburgh. The breakfasts, although not exceptional, are perfectly adequate. However, the price during the festival period is ridiculously high - this year just under £300 per night! Unfortunately, it is following the trend of all the other central Edinburgh hotels during this period. If the price rises any further, we will have to seriously consider our options for next year! However, we do always enjoy our stay there, as demonstrated by our number of visits!

    Great location and amazing breakfast. We were in Town for a concert at Murrayfield in August so every hotel was expensive. Even allowing for the price the hotel was great and the staff were really awesome!

    I've stayed in many Premier Inn's across the UK and this was by far the worst. The room was filthy, toilet seat was loose, shower gel was watered down and the air conditioning was not working as it had been set centrally to warm rather than cool. Dinner was a big disappointment and we had to go searching for staff more than once to move to the next course and pay the bill. Food itself was the worst I've had with overcooked, dry food. During breakfast we again had to motivate staff to ensure there were plates and cutlery and mugs for coffee. Was happy to leave after only one night. Do yourself a favour and avoid this branch of what is generally a pleasant hotel chain.

For lunch, why not venture out to Leith, Edinburgh's 'port', and discover some glorious restaurants. If you're visiting during the Edinburgh Festival or the International Film Festival, there's plenty to distract during the afternoon. Then it's time to come back to the hotel for a meal in our tasty restaurant, and a well-earned rest in our new, modern rooms with extra-comfy kingsize beds.
