"Great location"

The hotel was in a great location. The pillows and bed weren’t very comfortable, there was only one set of towels in the room, and there was no iron available.

"Poorly managed hotel"

Our stay got off to a poor start weeks before we even arrived. One of my daughters decided to join us, so I needed to change one of our rooms from a twin to a triple. This required several unanswered emails before I finally received a response confirming the change. Unfortunately, things didn’t improve at check-in. We were given the wrong keys for the double and triple rooms, which we didn’t realise until later that evening. By that point, the eldest member of our group had already gone to bed in the double room, leaving our son with no option but to share the double bed with his uncle. The situation was made worse by the fact that the “twin with rollaway” we had requested turned out to be a double and a single bed instead. This meant two more adults had to share a double bed on the second night. When I raised these issues, the receptionist showed little interest in helping resolve the problem. To be fair, the hotel is well located, just a short walk from the city centre, and the room itself was clean and well presented. However, the so-called triple room only had towels for two guests, which summed up the level of attention to detail. Overall, the experience was disappointing. Next time I’d probably spend a bit more and choose a hotel that’s better managed.
