"A convenient spot difficlt to find in a less than pleasant area of the city."
It's a convenient site but quite difficult to find and I think Premiere links on their emails confuse Broad Street and Bridge Street so we turned up at Bridge Street but were actually staying at Broad Street. We think that has happened to us before. I don't like self check-in at all and had there been no one there we would have been stumped. Broad Street surrounding streets are not well kept with litter and broken glass [a general problem all over the areas we walked]. While not the hotels fault, an extremely noisy and squeeky bin collection all along the road outside around 6am for a good quarter of an hour was well ahead and far more effective than my 7am alarm, especially with open windows on a hot night. All the litter that was previously blowing around was still there when they had left. The handwashbasin hot tap in the bathroom was very tepid for shaving but the shower was fine. Breakfast and service were fine but I find an empty reception very un-friendly at the best of times let alone a below-par litter strewn area of the City. Convenient but a lot to pay for this.
"Too hot but great otherwise."
Everything was great about this affordable nights stay apart from the temperature. There was no a/c and the fan was pointless when the room is 32° inside and the windows only open an inch due to health and safety.!
"Dissapointed"
Arrival started with a bit of disappointment at the car park that was well overdue for a clean up of all the debris. On check in paid for an early check in and when in the room I used the toilet only to see spots of faeces all over the back and top ledge of the pan from a previous diarrhea episode of previous guests. I went down to reception and was met with apologies and would get it cleaned, I asked to be moved and although told initially were full I which I was given another room after some insistence. The reception informed the cleaning staff who proceeded to rush past me to the lift as I was waiting for another room key. The reception offered me 2 free breakfasts but i replied I had already paid for breakfast but would welcome a refund of these, as the reception was busy with people waiting to check in she asked me to see her later. On getting back to the room the cleaner was already in the bathroom cleaning the toilet, as i spoke to my girlfriend the cleaner appeared half a meter from my face with a dirty cloth and no gloves trying to explain why she had missed the faeces, I replied well I would of appreciated if you could of waited until we left the room when she replied "I finished work 15 minutes ago" I replied Not my problem! and we left the room. Later the reception brought a note of apology and drinks on ice which was appreciated. On checking out I mentioned the breakfast to a different staff member (who had originally checked me in) and relayed the story after being asked about our stay to which i was given the number for guest services, I have not called yet as of writing this message. I travel occasionally for work and always use the premier inn when overnight stays are needed wherever I am in the country, for many reasons being no pets allowed, restaurant/bar/breakfast/familiarity and although the rooms in general are in need of modernization as per this hotel I always find them clean and convenient for needs, but always book premier plus rooms when available. I was in the city to spend the evening at a concert but I can honestly say i will now search for another hotel provider for work and pleasure stays, it was really not acceptable as it took excitement away form the weekend especially when I chose the premier over a city center 4/5* hotel.
"Great place to stay in Birmingham"
This is a fab little Premier Inn, tucked away from the main road, but in a fantastic location for reaching the Utilita Arena and the Birmingham City Museum. The staff are extremely pleasant and the service befits what you would expect from some of the more pricy establishments close by. Everything is very 'Premier Inn', so you know what you are going to get. This place was a credit to the manager and staff.
"Fabulous stay in Birmingham"
We had an amazing time at Birmingham City Centre Broad Street. The best Premier inn we have stayed in!!! The rooms where very spacious and clean!! It was an accessible room as my husband is disabled!! Every facility in the room was geared up for all his needs. Couldn't of asked for anything more!!! The breakfast was delicious, with alot of variety!! A very special thanks to the duty manager Jack, who made our stay very special. He couldn't do enough for my husband and I and we really appreciated it!! We'd not long had a unfortunate stay at another Premier Inn and was about to change our choices, but Jack has made us realise they aren't all bad!!! Your a Star Jack!! 🌟 Birmingham was a lovely city and all the locals were so friendly and caring!! We had a blast!!
