"Excellent value"
Comfortable beds and lovely pillows. Room was clean and spacious but in need of decor updating. Unavoidable noise from seagulls outside but hotel location is great. Our shower wasn’t great and would like a shower head with some available adjustments to height and direction. Building is great-would love to see some restoration to it Staff were all lovely and breakfast was a lot better than expected. I would say we got good value for money at premier inn
"Pleasant stay."
Location is very good, seconds from the Tyne and near a lot of restaurants and bars. The service and friendliness of the staff was very very good. There were more than helpful with any queries we had the building itself is quite old and tired but I would stay again. The beds were comfortable.
"Visit with family for graduation"
Stayed here with family . The hotel is dated and my first impression was that it was dirty . Our bathroom had black mould on the ceiling and 1/2 the lighting in our room didn’t work. The breakfast was good but it was disappointing to hear the staff refer to the breakfast as heart attack food. Buckets of tab ends in the entrance is a put off for any non smoker .Will not be staying again .
"Would not recommend"
We stayed for one night - came to check in at 3.40 (check in was 3) and was told the room wasn’t ready and to go to the bar. Went to the bar and waited about 10m for someone to show up and serve us. Trying to find the car park was a nightmare because it was a Sunday, I phoned the guy for help but he was telling me about landmarks and I don’t now the are at all so drove in circles till we found the way, The room was so grotty I’ve never stayed in place like it, there was dust hanging off the ceiling, hanging off the fan, Toothpaste splatter up the bathroom door, a big black hair on the clean towels. The bathroom is rotting at the edges. Honestly it was poor. Not the hotels fault but seagulls kept us up all night because they’re everywhere nesting around the hotel. We planned on having a movie night with the kids but the tv was so quiet they couldn’t hear the movie. It’s a shame I’ve never been in such a poor premier inn
"Amazing stay at the Quayside"
I was here for my graduation and stayed 2 nights, reading previous reviews I was weary however, I had a lovely stay at this premier inn. It’s not as modern as a lot and obviously has a lot of wear and tear so could do with an upgrade or paint job however you get what you pay for in a hotel room. I mentioned at the desk the purpose of my visit and received a knock on my room around 2 hours later. They had gone the extra mile to bring me a congratulations card, balloon and prosecco. I was very grateful and made my stay that little bit better. Would definitely recommend this hotel, the staff are lovely and the rooms are big. The one downside is, if you’re a light sleeper the birds under the bridge may wake you up as they are quite loud. Other than that, no complaints.
