"Good Value"

Nice, friendly staff. The hotel and room were clean. The breakfast is good. We visited for a Christmas meal with friends, and it was conveniently located to be able to walk to the venue

"Premier inns have gone downhill"

I think Premier Inn in general aren't as good as they once were. The Silent Night mattresses aren't anywhere near as comfortable as the the old Hypnos ones and I don't find the overall cleanliness of the rooms to be at the standard they used to be. This isn't just the Minehead hotel either, we used to use Premier Inns a lot because they were usually fairly priced and pretty consistent in quality. However I'm finding using independent or smaller chains to be a better option with greater attention to detail being taken. The best thing I can say about our recent trip was at least we didn't have to change rooms 3 times due to poor cleanliness unlike our previous stay last November.
