"let down by lack of cleanliness"

Booked an accessible double room and was pleasantly surprised. Nice spacious room and large walk in wet shower room. Standard Premier Inn with a nice comfortable bed. TV was adequate however the remote control was filthy - I dread to think what was on it! I would have scored higher but due to having to share the room with a colony of ants and the remote control I cannot rate any higher. Wi-Fi was also very weak. Positive notes - there was building work being done, but this was not noticeable and didn't disturb my stay. Refurbished dinning area was very good and the breakfast was very nice and cooked fresh. I did notice that the food was topped up regularly and eggs cooked to order.

"Depressing"

Parking and check in is straightforward but your heart sinks as you walk to the room along the depressing corridor. And the room is so outdated and dingy looking. Glass cups (why?) but no glasses, not even a disposable one for the bathroom. The fan doesn’t work in the bathroom and the water in the sink takes around 5 minutes to start to run warm (no joke). The heating is difficult to control.
