"LOCK YOUR DOOR (look for another venue)"
Firstly the first room I was offered stunk of smoke, I had to move. The second room was much better, but someone else was given the same key (and room) as me and came in at 2am! Both of us were surprised. From a safety perspective alone, do not stay here.
"Dont bother with premier plus!"
We booked 3 nights for my sons wedsing in St Albans, we booked a premier inn plus back in 2024, because we were aware that therer were graduations going on so it would get busy. We paid an extortionate rate for a premier inn, expecting a good experience. How wrong could we be, we literally had to walk through a building site to get to our room. We wernt offered to downgrade room, so we could be in clean safe corridors that didnt require to really be wearing a safety helmet or a hard hat. Neither were we offeres breakfast or a reduction.
"Great service from staff"
Great service from Nahal and Adam and all the staff. Friendly and professional they went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay.
"Noisy rooms at the Premier Inn, St Albans city centre"
Stayed at the Premier Inn St Albans whilst attending a wedding in the area. We were allocated Room 204 in the hotel. On returning to our room on the Friday evening we discovered that we were directly opposite a night club which opened at 11pm and closed at 3.30 am. For that period of time we were subjected to a constant and very loud music bass line, followed by people leaving and then wheelie bins being filled with bottles and cans - absolutely no sleep to be had! We complained in the morning and we're promised a different room for the second night. Breakfast was refunded and staff apologetic - we clearly weren't the first to complain. I complained to Premier Inn Guedt Services who told me that the 'Good Night's Sleep' guarantee did not apply in this case because the noise was external. The fact that we shouldn't be allocated a room when they know we won't get a decent night's sleep never mind the inconvenience of having to pack up and store our stuff whilst trying to get ready for a wedding is clearly not important. A pretty shoddy business model if you ask me. Anyway - just be forewarned if you use this Premier Inn - don't accept a room on the night club side if you are staying at the weekend and definitely not Room 204
"Staying for family wedding"
The staff at this hotel work incredibly hard. Nothing was too much trouble for Nahal. She was rushed off her feet but always had time to be attentive. The room was newly decorated but the smell of the paint was very strong, this made sleeping uncomfortable. Another room was not available. The food was very good.
