"Overpriced, and extremely poor condition hotel"
I'll start by saying the staff are great, really helpful and try to sort out any issues. We booked an accessible room which was seriously below par for Premier Inn and we asked to be moved. Unfortunately the second option was no better than the first. From what we saw of this hotel, it is in extremely poor condition decor wise and the overall feeling is that the entire building needs a serious overhaul and complete modernisation. We were charged £175 for the stay which was for the room and early check in. After contacting Guest Relations, we we given a £60 refund as a "good will" gesture. Even at £115, this hotel is not worth the money. If you need to stay centrally in Southampton, be sure to consider all options before booking this particular Premier Inn. I have stayed in countless Premier Inns the length and breadth of the UK, never have I seen one in such poor condition, it really let's the brand down. It is definitely not value for money at the rate we were charged.
    "Poor."
This Premier Inn needs a fair amount of attention. There was no one in reception on arrival and the check-in machines were not working. The only way to check-in was to press a buzzer and wait for a member of staff. There were other guests waiting who seemed to have been waiting a long time. The tap in the bathroom was very low pressure and the bathroom cupboards and bath panel looked as if the were about to fall apart. After showering in the morning I had to disassemble the shower tap to be able to turn it off. On the whole it seems to me like Premier Inn are cutting costs at the expense of the guests.
    "Basic premier inn"
We stayed here for 1 night.Nice clean hotel, surrounding area a bit run down. The car park is onsite pay when leaving 13 pound for 24 hours. We had the meal deal which is good value for money, as all the food was nice. Service was a bit slow, however it was busy. We paid 10 pound for an early check in at 11am which was really good value for money. There was a train track underneath our hotel room which was novel so there was a little noise, however not really busy in the night. The hotel is quite central to docks, town centre and other attractions.
    "Refurbishment required"
The staff at this hotel are helpful, kind and welcoming, the restaurant is very pleasant and the food good and reasonably priced The rooms are in need of refurbishment and look extremely tired. The Carpets in particular didn’t look very clean. This is the second primary I’ve been to in recent months. The last one was ghastly and in need of refurbishment.
    "Excellent"
Perfect location, near to railway stations, town centre is just a short walk away.Excellent hotel really near to the cruise terminal, clean and comfortable, staff amazing.
