"My stay at Aldgate"
Nice hotel. Easy drop off and pick up for uber. Tesco, Costa, and plenty of restaurants nearby. We stayed in Standard room. Bed, TV, and bathroom were good. Unfortunately, I woke up with crazy allergies. I think they need to clean the HVAC filters and duct system. To be clear, I had no allergies before and later that day.
"Great experience"
Everything was great. The hotel is clean, staff very friendly. Convenient location, many restaurants nearby and underground station
""
Great location for travel connections across the city. Also within walking distance of so many eating locations and Brick Lane, Spittal Fields, Tower of London. Supermarkets close by. Hotel had friendly service - accessed room at check in time. Great buffet breakfast. Comfy room with air con - which was needed as it was warm weather while we were there. Good shower and bath. Room was a great base - bedding clean, beds comfy, didn’t hear any sound from other rooms or corridor. Wi-fi connection wasn’t consistent so wasn’t able to do all travel planning / ticket purchasing from room.
"great team, fairly good stay but the hotel is starting to show its age"
team were lovely, check in was easy and efficient. premier plus room does not have plug sockets on both sides of the bed which is appalling, and it’s a bath with rainfall only. no different to standard room. room needs carpet change and new paint desperately.
"Amazing holiday"
Staying in this hotel really made our holiday special. From the minute we arrived until we left we felt so welcome. Every member of staff was so nice and so friendly. I had emailed and said it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and would it be possible for a room with a nice outlook. They certainly didn’t disappoint. We had the most perfect room which was at the corner of the hotel with 2 large floor to ceiling windows. These looked down into a beautiful courtyard. They also gifted us a bottle of Prosecco and a box of chocolates which was a lovely welcome. The room was massive for a family room and my son loved that he could lie in his bed looking out of the large windows. The restaurant is attached to the hotel and on the mornings we had breakfast the choice was spot on. There are 2 underground stations close by with Aldgate East being the closest, literally a 5 min walk away. There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by, 2 pizza restaurants if that’s your thing. There was a pub a few mins walk away and Tower Bridge, Tower of London and the Thames is around 10 min walk away. It is a large hotel with 3 lifts so not much waiting around. We could not fault it in anyway at all. The area is quiet even with all the restaurants and we felt so safe walking back to the hotel at night. We can’t wait to return again in the future and this is the hotel we will be staying at.
