London Angel Islington hotel

Premier Inn is not what it used to be. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Ther was a shortage of towels in the bathroom - would have been ok if the room was for 1 person. We asked for extra towels and were given them but we shouldn’t have to do ask for adequate amount of towels. This is just a minor thing and not the worst thing about this hotel. We like to stay in a hotel where you can have a drink or two following a night out at a show or play which is why we chose Premier as this has always been possible in the past. Our first night in this hotel we had a difficulty trying to find a staff member to order a nightcap. We are not night owls in any way and don’t think it’s appropriate to sign off on the bar without letting patrons know that it’s closed. On the second night the bar was manned by a VERY rude member of staff who actually argued with us when a mistake on a drinks order had been made (by the staff member ) !!! Then the guests were all shooed out of the bar and told to finish our drinks in our rooms. This was all before 12.00 - what kind of guest relations training do these people get ? At breakfast the hot water for tea was hard to come by as the machine was extremely difficult to operate. Staff on this were generally were helpful and courteous ( with the one exception already mentioned ) BUT there just weren’t enough of them. Premier Inn you need to try harder !!!!

Amazing Staff we were greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. Our rooms were clean and very well maintained. We all slept very well, super comfy beds. We booked premier plus rooms and one also had a city view. We ate a cooked breakfast on the 2 mornings of our stay and it was all very nice with plenty of choices. The restaurant had plenty of room and seating. We stayed to attend a wedding and the hotel is ideally located for Islington Town Hall. We highly recommend this fab Premier Inn.

The rooms are decorated really nicely, slightly more up market than other premier inns I have stayed in. The location was good. I was able to go for a walk and get some food within 2-4 minutes of leaving the hotel. Car parking was simple enough and you must get a receipt from the hotel to ensure you get the discounted rate. The staff i interacted with were friendly and helpful. All in all a good business trip.

Excellent location with access to food and drink at the Angel, Islington and 5/10 minutes from the tube. Comfortable rooms with huge walk in shower (small step). Tasty standard breakfast buffet.

A good location, only a couple of underground stops from St Pancras. A nice area, with very friendly staff and good sized rooms. A decent range of freshly cooked breakfast items. Nothing negative to say.
