"Mediocre"
Lady on reception at 1025 Sunday 19th was rude and unhelpful. Arrived early for early check in apologised asked if room ready was told early check in does not mean room is ready for 11am. (We paid £15 because we thought it would guarantee it was) rock hard beds and pillows. 2 tea bags in room?? Said there was free bottles of water at reception but when we asked they had run out this morning. Paid £42 for room so not a future but expected more from premier inn
"Unbearably hot rooms. Best avoided in the warmer months."
I've stayed at this hotel several times before and it has been adequate. Certainly not the best Premier Inn but suitable for my needs when on business in Chesterfield. On this occasion, the room was unbearably hot, 30 degrees for the duration of our stay, despite windows open. The fans provided for the room were cheap rubbish - noisy and did nothing to cool the room down. The worst two nights sleep we have ever had at a hotel. Would definitely not stay here again in the summer months.
"Wonderful"
Hotel was spotless, clean cosy room with a powerful fan keeping us cool. Staff on reception and housekeeping staff very friendly! Beautiful breakfast as always ! Until next time 😁
"Great sevice"
Lovely welcome from the 2 reception ladies when checking in great service I do normally stop at premier as you get what you pay for
"Can't be one of the best Premier Inns"
Stayed for two nights. I've stayed in dozens of Travelodge across the UK, but the first in a Premier Inn. If this one is typical then it seems Travelodge have upped their game whereas Premier haven't. The hotel is a bit tricky to get to at first as it is an unexpected turning off a busy roundabout. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious but dreary and uninviting with brown walls and dark carpets and curtains. Could definitely do with freshening up. Likewise the bathroom. Only one bath towel and one hand towel for two people were provided although more were given by reception. There is no air conditioning which was a pity on the hottest day in a heatwave. There was a fan in the room which helped. Breakfast in the adjoining Brewers Fayre was adequate rather than exceptional.
