    "Meeting friends"
When we arrived we was welcomed by a friendly lady checking in Michele, she was very engaging and was asking us about our journey we was staying as we was meeting up with friends. Our room was very clean and we had a wonderful nights sleep and was very refreshed for our busy day ahead we will definitely stay at premier inn north when we are meeting up with our friends again. Fantastic hotel
    "Beyond poor"
A very disappointing stay. The room, the only one free, was the Disabled Access Room. Whilst the access, which was not an issue for me, was clearly good the room smelt of stale urine. There was some sort of fan running all night that even earplugs could not drown out. Even with the fan noise, the noise from other guests upstairs was excessive and whilst I might have chosen to try and block out those noises by watching tv, the size of the tv was ridiculously small. No phone in the room and a complete lack of signal until one had walked almost all the way back to the car park, meant that I could not have contacted reception even if I had wanted to. And given that beggars cannot always be choosers, I would have overlooked all of that in the event that the restaurant (The Lock Keeper), which clearly stated on line that it's closing time was 11 p.m., to which I arrived after a 2 1/2 hour drive at just 9:10 p.m. only to be told that they couldn't/wouldn't serve me. For my partner back in Manchester to have to source and arrange a food delivery for me because there was no mobile signal and the wi-fi so poor that it would have taken me half the night to even find the information on local take away services was ludicrous, but your Reception staff were as helpful as the staff at the Lock Keeper. Unless I am utterly desperate I shall not use a Premier Inn again, even though I have been doing so for many years and I had believed, erroneously, that they offered a reasonable service across board
    "Not a great experience"
Dear Premier Inn Team, I’m writing to express my disappointment following a recent stay at your hotel. After a 5.5-hour drive, our group arrived on Sunday only to discover that there was no hot water. The receptionist informed us that the issue wouldn’t be resolved until Monday, and unfortunately, even by Monday morning the problem persisted. What was most concerning was the lack of concern or urgency shown by the reception staff on both days. Our experience at the attached Brewers Fayre restaurant was equally disappointing. The food was consistently overcooked, and on several evenings, many menu items were unavailable — including fish, burgers, lasagne, and vegetarian curry. Service was inattentive: we were asked if we wanted sauces, which then never arrived, and on one night, starter plates weren’t cleared before the main courses were served. Service inconsistencies were noticeable. For instance, one member of our group was served their starter and main course at the same time, and was then told it was their fault for not specifying otherwise — despite the rest of our table receiving starters first as expected. On another occasion, I requested extra bacon on my burger, which is a listed option. The bacon was brought out on a separate plate as the cook had forgotten to include it. Even the waitress commented on this, but it would have made more sense for her to question it in the kitchen and ensure it was served correctly. We also experienced long waits for desserts and had to chase staff multiple times to receive them. The only positives from the stay were the comfortable bed and that the steak — part of the mixed grill — was cooked reasonably well, though the other meats were unfortunately overdone. Overall, this was a very underwhelming experience that fell far short of the standards I would expect from Premier Inn and Brewers Fayre. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and work to improve the service and hospitality for future guests.
    "Comfortable stay"
First visit to a Premier Inn. We visited for two nights while visiting the area. Plenty of parking and next to a Brewers Fayre. Reception staff were friendly and efficient at check in. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. Well appointed bathroom and we were pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was. There is a train line running at the back but with the window closed it really didn’t bother us. The receptionist on the Wednesday was a lovely person, friendly and so helpful with local knowledge. We really enjoyed our stay and will return again when revisiting the area.
    "Great stay"
Absolutely loved our stay from the minute we was greeted by the lovely Michelle to our room our meal and the expert travel information from Michelle on where to visit Definitely be back
