"Far too hot, filthy room, noisy neighbours"
We’ve stayed here many times. Premier Inn is a go to because normally you know what you will get and that includes a comfortable, good night’s sleep, undisturbed, in a clean room. Not this time. We had two nights in room 111 - which was fine except the room was far too hot (the air con wouldn’t go below 19, but the temperature in the room was way above). However, our third night was in room 4. We were exhausted from the day’s activities and just needed a good night’s sleep. The air con was set at 27 (!) when we got in the room and it was oppressive. However, it did cool slightly when I turned it down - this one went to 17. Again, no actual cooling and a trickle of less warm air came out of the vent. That wasn’t the worst. We went to bed early as we were exhausted and were woken by the occupants of Room 6. The rooms had interconnecting doors. We could hear every word of their conversations. Which were intermittent so just as we dropped off we were woken again. The light of day highlighted how filthy the room was. Furniture caked in dust (I could feel it in my throat too), skirting boards had a layer of dust, and there were cobwebs on the walls. Really, really, disappointed as this is not the standard or the experience we have come to expect. We brought these to the attention of a staff member at check out whose response was “awww, sorry”. Great service Premier Inn!
"Hotel Stay"
absolutely amazing, couldn't fault anything. it was so easy to do/go anywhere with 2 girls under 18 months old. the staff where so helpful and amazing
"Better than usual Premier Inn with A/C"
That rare thing in the UK heatwave - a hotel with air conditioning. Worth staying there for that alone but otherwise it is a better than usual Premier Inn with outstanding staff, friendly, very helpful and efficient. The Thyme restaurant is adequate and well priced, food good quality. Room pretty much standard, housekeeping variable, and the usual shower in bath nightmare for anyone with even slight mobility issues. Please offer rooms with walk in showers and make them available to book. Parking quite tight and you have to pay for some reason (£5 a night in advance). A good place to stay in the Peaks, central for everywhere and easy to get to. Petrol station and Tesco Express next door which is brilliant. Buy your own toilet rolls as the Premier ones are a joke.
"Rip off parking fines"
Stay somewhere else if at all possible. Their parking payment arrangements are a joke. Any error when trying to pay will land you with a £100 fine. They fail to help their customers with appeals and sit back and watch them being scammed by the parking company acting on their behalf. Stay somewhere else is my advice!!
"Disappointed "
Disappointing. We stayed one night on a dinner bed and breakfast rate. The dinner was OK, not what I expected from a Whitbread hotel. If I had known the quality of the meal, I would have gone to one of the great restaurants in Buxton. The room was very hot and we could not open the window. Breakfast was fine.
