"Legends"
My colleague & I work away from home every week & love to rock up here to be met with great hospitality, good food, comfy beds & convenience to town centre. No task is too difficult for staff to take care off even when working hard with demanding customers. Manager David & supervisor Catalina along with Alison etc are always so friendly & welcoming.
"A Big Disappointment"
The entrance to the hotel was bleak and car park area and entrance porch was littered and unkempt. The hotel exterior looked tired and dirty and only two very busy but pleasant staff were dealing with busy booking in and bar. Apparently this has been the case for a long time which is unfair on them and the guests. The rooms no longer have the small things that were part of the price, I.e. no biscuits, no tissues or tumblers in bathroom. The carpets were dirty in the lobby to the room. The breakfast menu has reduced considerably and the quality of the food presented has deteriorated a lot. Same applies for the dinner offering, reduced and expensive if you don’t do the meal package. We have used Premier Inns as a ‘go to’ for many years and we were shocked at the deterioration in every way. The price to stay there was not cheap either, we could have stayed elsewhere for a much cheaper rate but chose this Premier Inn based on the good experiences we have had before. This will no longer apply. It was a big disappointment and needs addressing. Our summation was that Premier Inns have focused on corporate custom - guaranteed income for tradesmen to stay - and they have wrongly assumed that these hardworking tradespeople people don’t care what the place looks like or the quality therein - which is just unacceptable. The holidaying couples and families are not a priority anymore and this overnight stop we had was the equivalent of staying in a low grade truckers hostel. For all people who are thinking of using this hotel, don’t use the photograph shown on the booking website. It’s a far cry from that - the picture which must have been taken a long time ago. It’s dowdy, dirty, and needs completely revamping, inside and out. The only good thing were the overworked staff who were great. We won’t use Premier Inns again.

Very warm and welcoming staff, very helpfully and polite. The rooms are clean and comfortable, Gracey on the reception desk has been a absolute dimon.
