"What no air-con! - Room a constant 31°C at night! - Useless fans"
Stayed in late June early July heatwave, not pleasant. I have stayed here a few times but always in the annexe building which as far as I recall have air con. The rooms on the lower section near reception do not appear to have such luxury. @premier inn 1. Don't open the windows when it's hot outside, all you're doing is letting the hot air into the room, which kept my room at a balmy 31°C all night. Thanks for that! 2. If you're going to supply fans make sure they have more air moving ability than an asthmatic mouse. 3. Keep the curtains closed, you got this one right.
"Air conditioning is actually available!"
Despite the website saying no air conditioning at this hotel, we did actually have air conditioning. Given the UK was in the grip of a heatwave, this was an exceptionally welcome surprise. We were in a separate annex to the main hotel, which could be newer and so have air conditioning whilst the main hotel did not, so I can't comment on the rest of the rooms, but the annex we were definitely did. The annex was clean, quiet and had great access to the car park. The only thing is you look like you are driving into a housing estate - keep persevering as you will come to the property. It looks like electric car charging stations are in the process of being installed, but there is nothing there yet - however plenty of other locations close by to charge up at.
"Excellent"
We arrived just after midnight. There were plenty of carpark spaces. We were welcomed warmly by reception. Check-in was so quick and we were directed to our room. Our room was clean and spacious. We both had a great sleep. The shower was excellent. Couldn’t fault anything.
"Complaint"
Staff are so rude here would not recommend this place whoever the man was on the reception desk at 9:10pm on 28.06.2025 was vile and should not be working in a place like that
"Room in the basement"
The room décor would not look out of place in the 1950’s it was in the basement along a dreary corridor No air conditioning The price was cheap and so was the room . On the positive the bed was comfortable and room clean
