Stansted Airport has one main terminal, with three passenger ‘satellite’ terminals leading into it. Stansted Airport’s terminal is relatively small and relatively new, having been renovated in 1991.
509 and 510 shuttle bus services in the area typically cost around £4 per adult.
There are no designated sleeping areas in Stansted Airport, and recently the airport has begun closing overnight and asking people not to sleep on the premises. If you need somewhere to stay after a long flight or you need to make an early flight in time, book at our Premier Inn London Stansted Airport hotel and look forward to a comfy stay at a budget price.
Stansted Airport currently closes from 5pm to 5am. Prior to recent changes, the airport was open all night along with a few shops.
Stansted Airport has free Wi-Fi for up to four hours and plug sockets throughout its main terminal. If you’re willing to pay a little extra, you can relax in an airport lounge after booking with us, thanks to our friends at Holiday Extras. Stansted Airport’s Escape Lounge has free Wi-Fi, complimentary food and drink delivered to your table and space to unwind and relax before you fly.
We’re close to the airport. Our London Stansted hotel is about a mile away from Stansted Airport, a 10-minute drive or 30-minutes by bus.
Our London Stansted Airport hotel has 168 chargeable on-site parking spaces in total, managed by YourParkingSpace. Parking costs £8 per night for a maximum of four nights.

Stansted Airport is only a 50-minute train ride away from Central London. Go sightseeing at Buckingham Palace, stop by Big Ben or lose yourself in Hyde Park. Our Stansted Airport hotels have on-site restaurants that serve the Premier Inn Breakfast, an all-you-can-eat selection of delicious bacon, sausages, eggs, black pudding and much more, as well as lunches and dinners to help you prepare for your flight. There’s also restaurants, takeaways and bars both before and after security at Stansted Airport.
Stansted Airport is just off the M11 with good links from Cambridge to London. The closest car parks are the Short Stay and Meet and Greet, both a few minutes’ walk from the terminal. A full range of airport parking both on and off-site is available to add to your Premier Inn hotel booking through our partners at Holiday Extras. Another option is to book a room at the Premier Inn hotel near Stansted. There’s a shuttle bus that runs between the hotel and the airport every 30 minutes that costs £4 per adult (free for children).
National Express coaches run directly from London Paddington, Liverpool Street, Victoria and Stratford to Stansted Airport, with pick-up points along the way. You can also get a National Express coach direct to Stansted from Cambridge, Oxford, Liverpool and many other major cities. The Stansted CityLink runs 45 services a day into Kings Cross St Pancras. The bus station is just opposite the main terminal building.
Stansted Express trains leave London Liverpool Street every 15 minutes and take just under 50 minutes to reach the airport. You can also get to Stansted direct from Cambridge, Peterborough Leicester and Birmingham. The rail station is directly underneath the terminal building – it takes just two minutes to walk to arrivals, and there are plenty of ramps and lifts available to make your journey easier. Our London Stansted hotel is just a 10-minute drive or 30-minute bus ride from Stansted Airport Station.
Our closest hotel to Stansted Airport is our London Stansted Airport hotel, which is about a mile away from Stansted Airport and Stansted Airport Station. It’s about a 10-minute drive or taxi ride away from our hotel to Stansted Airport’s main terminal, 30 minutes on the 509 or 510 shuttle buses or a 30-minute walk.
Our London Stansted Airport combines great access to the airport terminal with good links to Central London via Stansted Airport Station, which connects directly to London Liverpool Street on the Stansted Express with a journey time of about an hour.

Standard – Pay now, non-refundable. Free to amend booking at the same hotel up to 1pm on the day of arrival. Checkout is by 12 noon on your departure date. If luggage storage is available, our teams will be happy to store any bags for you if you’d like to check out before 12pm.

Most Premier Inns have specially-adapted rooms allowing easier access for customers with disabilities. If there is no specially-adapted room available at the hotel of your choice, we will be happy to offer you alternative accommodation at a nearby Premier Inn. If you have difficulty walking, but do not need a specially-adapted room, please feel free to request a room near reception on the ground floor for easy access.
