"No oxygen. Way too hot. Unhealthy. Stay away."
Seemed nice and efficient at check in, which was fully automated, and worked flawlessly. But after arriving late after a long day we had this growing sense of unease. First flaw: only one towel, when two guests were slated to check in? Second annoyance: room was about 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Then we discovered there was no way to open the window. Turned on the air conditioning. After a couple hours the room was still over 85 degrees. The air system had shut itself off. There was no top sheet on the bed, only a thick comforter inside a duvet. Would have been great if the air conditioning worked but we felt we were suffocating. I checked my portable air quality meter (yes, I carry an Aranet 4 after working on the pandemic for years) to discover the CO2 concentration in the room was 2800 parts per million. (Hint: anything over 1200 is consider unhealthy and damages your cognition.) Turned in the air. It kept shutting off. Room never got below 1800ppm CO2 or 85 degrees F. Horrible. Felt drugged in the morning. Staff said air was designed to shut off after running for an hour. Stay away if you value sleep and health.
"Good location & better if you're travelling light without a car"
Very centrally located to see the sites of Oxford most of which are in walkable distance. The downside is the family room is rather small n there is no residents car park. I used the park n ride at Redbridge which is v cheap n the 300 bus to there goes past the hotel. We did have quite a bit of luggage so l dropped off family members with the baggage in a side street next to the hotel when we arrived n when leaving I went n got the car n picked them up from the same spot when we left. As there r double yellow lines at this bit l could not park for any length of time so it was important to coordinate the timescales in conducting these logistics! Despite these complications it was much better than incurring the expense of the much nearer shopping centre. We did not have breakfast so can not comment on this, but had dinner which was ok. We found staff v friendly. Overall if l could l would give a score of 3.5
"Location good but pick cold weather to stay not when its hot."
The AC in the room was nearly non existent it was unbearably hot in the room and the windows could not be opened to get any air. We booked the superior room too. The breakfast that normally flows well was really poor, there was only a couple of items on the hot plate at any one time , we had to wait for over an hour to be able to have a cooked breakfast. We watched the kitchen staff drop the tongs on the floor for the pastry's and then pick it up off the floor and place it straight back on the tray which sort of summed up the stay -looked alright but really not right at all.

Excellent location and easy access to amenities and town. Friendly, professional and welcoming staff. Wide selection and heartwarming breakfast. Room size not as spacious for a family as I had imagined however comfy bed&pillows, cosy environment. No mini fridge or microwave however staff readily available for assistance/queries. Perhaps carpets notably dusty for the whole time spent there. Overall positive experience and atmosphere and will always go back whenever I'm in oxford and will also recommend.
"Very good experience for a very good price"
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff is very attentive, the location is very good, the room was very clean and comfortable. The food was good, but could have been better. That’s the only reason I chose a 4 and not a 5.
