"Premier Plus at Premier Inn does not exist!!"
Certainly wasn't a Premier Plus room - small bed and room. Stained carpets, creased hard bottom sheet, cheap toilet roll. Asked more another pillow never received, had to ask again! Vending machines empty. No drawers and tiny wardrobe. Low water pressure. Restaurant attached was useless with poor service. Also apparent Ultimate WiFi was absolutely useless, continually dropping out and ultra slow.
"Pros and cons"
Beautifully situated hotel, the rooms are clean and the staff are lovely. The downfall is there is not enough staff. The staff that are there work really hard. There are long waits for an evening meal and the breakfast buffet was not kept stocked with long waits again for food to be brought out. There was no gluten free bread available despite it being advertised and asked for.
"Don’t bother"
Very poor . Paid for early check in which wasn’t available for our room . Staff seemed put out that we wanted to leave our luggage . Paid extra for premier plus.. don’t bother . Wi fi extremely poor . Coffee machine with a grand total of 2 coffee pods so had to go down and get extra ..reception was unattended so had to ring bell and wait along with others . Staff couldn’t look any more disinterested .
"Best customer service ever"
We parked at the hotel right next to the hotel entrance as I'm disabled this helped no end. We were greated at reception by Leanne and Ben a lovely pair who welcomed us and were genuinely interested why we were only staying one night. We told them we had come from Scotland especially to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. They congratulated us and sorted out our room. We went to look around our favourite seaside place and returned a couple of hours later to find Leanne and Ben had placed a bottle of Presecco in our room with a couple of glasses a small gift that our stay so special.
"Lovely clean hotel, lovely staff but severe staff shortages made the stay into a poor experience."
The staff were trying their best but staffing levels were abysmal. Have stayed in many premier inns in the past including this one but the restaurant was staffed so poorly at times that people were walking out before ordering as waiting times were over an hour. Breakfast time was bedlam and they were still having to let people walk in off the street even though the food couldn't come out quick enough to accommodate the guests staying in the hotel. Even though we had prepaid for our breakfast and evening meal, I still had to pay to eat out with my grandson as we couldn't get any decent food at times.
