"No rooms are actually facing the sea"
There was no real sea view and only the nearest rooms to the sea were classed as having a sea view all other rooms facing the same way had a very similar view but were not classed as having a sea view in spite of being able to see at a similar angle. The room choice and view should have been more clear and more transparent.
"Lovely hotel in a great position"
We had two nights here in July. Found the hotel OK within the town and it is well situated on the seafront with a large car park but paying and finding a space was very easy and hotel guests got a special rate I understood and could come and go over the course of their stay only paying when they first park . Check in was easy and he let us in 15 minutes early which was nice as some premier inns insist you wait till the time or pay extra. The room was large and comfortable with a coffee maker and plenty of teas/coffees/ milks etc and free bottled water - premier plus. The bed was large and comfortable. We ate in the hotel the first night and although it was nearly empty, the food was excellent and the ice cream dessert I had was amazing. 1st day breakfast was packed with long queues at the hot food counter which struggled to be refreshed as things ran out. I had the breakfast i wanted though so was quite happy with the food. Second day we were a little later and there was loads of space and food again was fine. I think they may have a problem with a lack of staff here, but I was very happy with our stay and the setting was fabulous. The sea view is a side view - but I won't quibble .
"Overpriced crappy hotel"
£150 per night WiFi was 0.95mbps Television kept loosing it's signal Had no windows that could be opened so if there was a fire in the hallway outside the door there was no way out Surely a health and safety hazard Only enough coffee for one cup each Breakfast was an extra charge of £10.90 on top of the £150 per night charge for a bog standard room Car parking was an extra £5 per night No one ever at reception had to ring bell everytime Disgraceful really
"Beware of the restaurant manager…"
We have stayed every year for past 3 years. This year has to be our worst experience. The restaurant manager has changed from previous years. The previous one was lovely but the new one can only be described as like a Rottweiler- aggressive tone, unwelcoming and rude. Doesn’t crack a smile and makes people feel unwelcome. Definitely has an attitude. The key are to both rooms also wouldn’t let us in the building late at night one night and pressed the buzzer and no staff came. It then wouldn’t work on the lift. Had to wait a while for staff to come to front desk to re do it to let us in. Not great when you have a child asleep in your arms.
"Manager of restaurant was rude ,she loose lots of people"
The undermanager, was amazing ,the girl on front desk was rude and unhelpful, didn't help with the elderly people that was there
