"Sad deterioration."
This hotel is definitely not as good as it was. We have stayed many times and although the room was ok, as usual, not the same can be said for the rest. Parking now has to be paid - this was previously free. There are few available staff and to get to see one you have to buzz them. Previously they were there with a welcoming smile. This is not the only Premier Inn where this happens either. We didn't have our evening meal in the restaurant and when we went for breakfast I was glad we had not. The place was filthy. There was last nights food all over the floor. It took us three attempts to find a table that wasn't sticky. The breakfast was ok although the fruit looked as if it had been out all night. We were very disappointed to say the least and it's doubtful we will go back.
"Favourite hotel in Brid."
Although they were short staffed at the weekend it didn't impact us at all. The staff were friendly and professional. The room was really clean and the breakfast was excellent. Will stay there next time I am in Brid.
"Disappointed."
After several stays at the hotel, it has gradually deteriorated. The hotel, as always is clean and basic. It took ages to be served with food and drinks, due to severe staff shortages. This should not be happening, as it doesn’t make customers feel very good seeing staff working under such stress! One particular staff member, I think that she was the supervisor, was very rude to me. She suggested that I needed lessons in patience when I enquired politely about the waiting time! When customers book breaks to ‘get away from their own life’s challenges’, I think that The Premiere, is no longer the place to be.” It’s not good listening to customers constantly complaining and asking the same questions. The food isn’t worth the long waiting time. Long Queues at breakfast time, waiting for food. Some of the staff were very friendly, especially Elle, who never stopped! She was a breath of fresh air and deserved better!! If I go again, I would never eat in the restaurant, and would strongly advise anyone else to do the same.
"The Worst Bed and No Sleep"
I booked this hotel online for a 1 night stay on 20th June, as we were travelling down from Whitby and having stayed the previous night at the Scarborough North Bay Premier Inn. and because we have stayed at many Premier Inn hotels over many years. Their website only offered a accessible room for the booking and on arrival we were given room 104. When we got in the room, we noticed that the double bed looked as if it had been hastily set-up, because the two sections of the base were on the floor ( not raised up on legs) and the connecting bracket was hanging down to the floor by the foot of the bed.. The two single mattresses on top were well worn and soft and sagging in the middle on both sides. I immediately went to reception and asked if we could be allocated another room with a firmer bed as i suffer with back problems. The young man at the reception said no other room was available and that he prefers a soft bed. Both of us ( retired pensioners) had the worst night and hardly got any sleep as the bed was not at all supportive. So much so that the next morning, after breakfast, i fell a asleep on the beach in front of the hotel as it was firm and supporting. When i emailed a complaint on the basis that Premier Inn had failed to provide " a Guaranteed Good Nights Sleep" , they disappointingly responded by stating that the hotel had already had all the beds replaced and implied that i was making a false complaint. They refused to honour their guarantee of a refund if they fail to provide a good nights sleep. I replied to their email stating that they may have replaced the beds many years ago as the mattresses we had to try and rest on were definitely Not Even Nearly New, but must have been mattresses they had previously taken off for discarding but had to use to prepare this room. Also advised them that as the bed bases were put on the floor( no legs attached) that a disabled person on a wheelchair would have struggled to lower themselves onto the bed or lift themselves back into their chair. NOT at all suitable as an accessible room due to lack of any height of the bed. This was the WORST NIGHT we have had out of the many Premier Inns we have stayed at over the years. Hotel needs a major refurb and we WOULD NOT RECOMMEND anyone to stay in room 104 if they are looking to book this hotel. Whitbread Group PLC & Premier Inn Ltd are failing to honor their Guarantee of a Good Nights Sleep despite featuring this guarantee so extensively in all their marketing.
"Great personalised experience!"
Booked this room for my aunty and uncle celebrating my aunts 80th, huge thank you and shout out to Samuel in reception who helped me collate and kindly set up some birthday treats in their room for their arrival! Thank you for making them have such a special stay!
