"Never again"
we booked a two night stay at the Premier Inn Torquay Seafront. We literally only stayed one night as we were beyond disappointed with property. Our room had a terrible smell of drains or damp from a previous leak or water damage. We had to have the window open due to the smell And we were working early hours of the morning by an intoxicated couple who were arguing, the female was shouting at the top of her voice that she had locked herself in the bathroom. The room was in poor condition the soap dispenser had clogged up old soap which looked to be full of bacteria. The room was not clean. We raise these concerns with reception and said that we wanted to check out early. I’d asked if we could be refunded for the night but we were given an email address to top this all off and wrote a complaint which still hasn’t been responded to nearly 2 weeks later. This shows how poor the customer services. Unfortunately this has put us off staying at Premier Inns and I would rather pay a little bit more and actually relax enjoy my stay.
"Great for solo traveller but don’t eat the breakfast"
The staff at check in were really good as a female solo traveller they gave me my room number and where in the hotel it was without anyone in the queue hearing this made me feel very safe The bar staff were very friendly when I popped in for a drink Then came the breakfast , sadly the price is not justified with the quality , I didn’t eat much of it as it made me feel sick and shortly afterwards I was sick and became very unwell, such a shame
"Hotel nice, Service not"
Our family room was nice and big enough, with view to the sea. Two of the three beds were good, the third one a challenge. The welcome was not really a warm one, we arrived 2:45 and check-in was refused, although the reception was not busy. Even the comment that I was sick was not heard. So, we returned 15mins later and surprisingly, there was a long queue. Breakfast next morning was surprising from service perspective: Our two kids (almost 12 and 16y) needed to go without parents as we were in bed with fever, it took them a longer discussion with the entrance lady as kids are not allowed to get breakfast without parents. Latest when the lady got aware that we are sick in bed, I would have expected a different reaction. So, the hotel is nice, the service not. We had spent some nights in Premier Inn London Aldgate, here the service was really good and stuff was friendly, others than here.
"Two Star ⭐ ⭐"
The reception staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The bed is comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the shower and bathroom facilities are well-maintained, with excellent water pressure and temperature. However, one aspect that's hard to overlook is the noticeably dirty windows in the dining area, which have smudges at all times of day—morning, noon, and evening. If you choose to have glass surfaces, they must be kept impeccably clean, especially in a dining setting. It's essential to be intentional about cleanliness, so please consider cleaning them daily if needed. Overall, the hotel is in need of some tender loving care. Upon entering, the worn carpet creates an unwelcoming atmosphere that could use some attention.
"great place to stay but has its problems that need to be addressed"
The public can park onsite, which leaves little room for residents. On one occasion 2 public cars parked up and blocked in 2 resident cars. Despite CCTV, the staff failed to spot this, and hence the staff could not identify the owners of the two public cars. The staff are also not checking that the people who sign into the hotel, put their car reg number down and contact number. This is key, as one resident car could have been moved to allow the blocked cars to exit, however the staff did not have a contact number. One member of staff on reception from very early to 9am, on a bank holiday weekend, is poor.
