"Could do better"
I’ve stayed in several Premier Inns and feel the quality has got worse. The room was only okay there was a panel missing by the air-conditioning unit look like the maintenance staff hadn’t put it back properly and the outside windows were completely filthy. in my confirmation email I was offered the chance to upgrade to a premier plus room but was told there wasn’t one available. The breakfast was the most disappointing of all the food was poor, it was cold and overcooked. Overall it was only an okay stay.
"Great room."
Great check in experience and breakfast was fantastic. Room was very large (family room) comfortable beds. Evening meal was a bit disappointing, very slow service and things nit brought out with meal that came with. We had to ask. Also discrepancies with payment due to the child's menu being confusing. States £6.99 for 2 courses which they had but then the staff were trying to charge us extra as they had a dessert not starter. Nowhere did this state on the menu. Eventually we were charged the right amount but were made to feel in the wrong.
"Overnight Stay"
My go to hotel for Cardiff. Ate in the restaurant for the first time. The food was tasty and hot, plus a reasonable price. Stayed in Premier Plus room on the 10th floor which was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful as always
"Staff threatened kicking me out on the streets at midnight for making a complaint the 24/7 kitchen was closed!!"
Threatening Staff and False Advertising of 24/7 Kitchen I arrived back at the hotel at 12:45am to find the kitchen closed, despite the website clearly stating it is open 24/7 and the staff earlier saying it would be open. When I expressed frustration about this I was told by a member of staff that if I raised my voice about this matter, I would be “out on the street.” These were his exact words!! Even when I spoke very calmly expressing my disappointment and annoyance about this the staff member repeated that “at the rate you are going, you will be on the street.” At no point was I aggressive; I was simply voicing a valid complaint about a service that was advertised but not provided. I have never, in any hotel I have stayed in, been threatened with being thrown onto the street for raising a complaint. It is completely unacceptable and appalling for staff to threaten paying guests in this way. This would put the paying guest in danger by being put out into the streets late at night for voicing a complaint. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The kitchen was not open as promised, the staff response was threatening and unprofessional, and guests are clearly not treated with respect. Avoid this hotel at all costs—if you complain, you risk being thrown out onto the street late at night.
"Very pleasant and comfortable"
The room was perfect, excellent view over Cardiff, bed very comfortable, food was lovely and service was amazing, staff was always happy to help, definitely would be a place to book again if in Cardiff
