Glasgow Pacific Quay (SECC) hotel

Have to pay for parking which we knew in advance. £11 a day. Check in machines were broken so everyone was having to queue up for the single reception desk. Rooms now need an upgrade. Breakfast was below par for a Premier inn breakfast. Items running out and not replenished fast enough. Having to wait quite a while for you to be ticked off the list. We only book breakfast because it’s value for money with kids eating free. Great location to explore from or if you are going to a concert. We’d stay here again for the location.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at this hotel and did not feel it offered good value for money. Although the cleanliness of our room was acceptable, the furniture felt quite dated and we were surprised that even basic toiletries were not provided, particularly as we had paid extra for a Premier Plus room. On arrival, we were told that the restaurant was fully booked and that we could eat in the bar instead. However, there were very few seats available and we struggled to find somewhere to sit and eat. When we returned to the hotel after attending a concert at the Hydro, we encountered the same problem. There were no seats available in the bar, and despite there being empty tables in the restaurant, we were told that we were not permitted to sit there. Unfortunately, breakfast the following morning made the experience even more disappointing. It appeared poorly organised, with little supervision, and several of the hot food options were unavailable. When I asked about this, I was simply told that we would have to wait another seven minutes. The response from the waiter was little more than an apology, with no real attempt to address the situation. We had been looking forward to our stay, but the lack of seating, disappointing breakfast and overall standard of the facilities really spoiled the experience. Considering the price we paid for a Premier Plus room, we expected considerably better. Overall, we did not feel our stay represented good value for money and, based on our experience, I would unfortunately not recommend this hotel to others.

Helpful staff. Good location away from the city centre. Handy for the bus but only £8 for a taxi. Standard Premier Inn rooms.

We went away with our wee one for our birthday and was very disappointed on arrival was inform that it was a £15 early check-in fee we were 15/20 mins early so I said that we would wait then on check-in in it was a different person Denise I think was her name wow what a attitude if I hadn't had paid what i paid i would of left and went elsewhere. We checked in got our room wasn't told when breakfast was if we wanted to book for dinner or anything went to our room and was disappointed the curtains were closed opened them to a great view but from a small window checked over the place and there was dust and dirt got clean and fresh towels. Then went for a walk and back for dinner the restaurant was nice but empty was told to sit at this table the women wasn't very pleasant anyway ordered food and then we were served by someone else think he name was Melissa very very helpful with our wee one who is only 2yrs old got our food and my partners chicken wasn't cooked so it was put back to the kitchen we could understand if they were busy but there was us and 1 other couple but Melissa was very helpful and got it all sorted the next day went for breakfast again more attitude from the staff omg if you are not happy in your job then go elsewhere on Monday evening we were going out for dinner and we were blocked in by a delivery driver and told us to wait until he was finished. Premier inn need to sort this out we have staying in many different places and this wasn't a very pleasant stay especially after travelling down to there and it been our birthdays

The room was ok, staff were nice but the food is shocking! If you have a meal deal, cancel it. We had some amazing food from local takeaways that delivered, but the Premier Inn food really is awful 😖 This Premier Inn is one of the worst we've stayed in, not worth the higher price tag.
