"Comfy beds and convenience to tram outweighs poor breakfast"
Comfy beds, even the children's bed was very comfortable, rooms had everything you needed including a small bath, the evening meal was nice, we had a lovely waitress call Urzula who was pleasant, chatty and helpful, tram stop directly across the way accessed by crossing the train line which we didn't hear once during our stay, tram comes every 7 mins to city centre or airport, breakfast not great quality or value for money if just buying for adults but when children eating free and they love the novelty of picking and choosing and helping themselves then it ok, also they allowed us to store bags after check out for the day until we were coming back out to airport, easy stop off to collect and get back on tram for airport, very nice service must say
"Not as good as it used to be"
When we visit Edinburgh or are travelling further south, we always use the Premier Inn at Park as it is close to a train/tram station and has plenty of parking which is what we expect albeit you now have to pay for your parking (cost me £4.50 to park for 24 hours). Bed nice and firm too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sadly this time our visit was not so good which is such a shame having visited many times over the years. We were in room 228 which overlooks the train/tram station so more noise which disturbed sleep (previously we have always been on the car park side which is nice and quiet). Also there was a constant buzz which disturbed our sleep. We thought it was the air conditioning but even after switching this off there was still a steady buzz so no idea what is was and because we had switched the air conditioning off room was far too hot as you can't open any windows. Breakfast seems to have deteriorated. Not the usual quality of produce used; i.e. smaller sausages, bacon not as good as before. Add on to that fried eggs were hard and no cranberry juice despite being mentioned on the menu.
"Great staff, good location, modern and comfortable hotel"
We were in Edinburgh for a wedding and, since we were flying in and out of Edinburgh Airport, chose to stay at the Premier Inn Edinburgh Park due to its excellent location. While we took a taxi to the hotel initially (not realising how convenient the tram is), we used the tram to travel into the city and to the wedding venue. It was also ideal for getting back to the hotel after the celebrations and for our journey to the airport the next morning — we’d thoroughly recommend it! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to check in early as all the rooms were full. We had read that early check-in wasn’t possible, though we later found out that others had managed to do so — so it seems this may be possible depending on availability. That said, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They quickly sorted an iron for us so we could get ready for the wedding, and they also stored our bags safely while we were out. The room itself was modern, clean, and very comfortable — a great base for our short trip.
"Very friendly staff"
We booked this hotel as we are a family of 5 and needed two rooms and the price here suited our budget. We also booked the breakfast and dinner meal deal which was good value, the staff are very friendly. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. There is a Costa onsite and a retail park across the road. You can get a tram from the airport that goes directly into the city centre and this hotel has a stop right outside.I would advise getting a 3,4 or 5 day tram pass depending on how long you are visiting for,it worked out £50 for the 5 of us for 3 days for unlimited tram travel with a return trip to the airport included. The city is only a few stops away on the tram from the hotel.Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back to Edinburgh and will book this hotel again.Overall a very enjoyable experience.
"Use This Hotel if in Edinburgh"
Excellent Location for Families or Travellers to Edinburgh. With Edinburgh Park Train and Tram Stop Outside it is a no brainer. Edinburgh is an expensive city for hotels. The Parking was £4.50 a day and tram is £4.20 Return to city centre. 10-15 minutes. Costa and Restaurant on site with good quality food and staff. Would recommend for people thinking outside box. Will Stay again definitely.
