Worthing Seafront hotel

Whilst we were happy to pay extra for the sea view it came at an extra cost. The room was small, bathroom extractor didn’t work, TV /wi Fi was poor, charging for parking is an unwelcome addition

Had a family room with my son. 220 pounds, expensive but maybe because of Goodwood? which is why we stayed. Very quiet rooms, bit dated and shower had seen better days. Christine who cooked breakfast was really nice. Breakfast was cooked just right and she was helpful and cheerful 5 stars for Christine

My husband booked four rooms for a work event (Special day at Goodwood) and was really impressed with the hotel. The parking is safe and secure, all the staff at the hotel are polite and very helpful. The location is lovely and to come back after a long day to find your air con has been turned on for you was great. To top it all off Christine at breakfast was very nice and kindly did my husband the best poached eggs. Premier Inn should be proud of the team here, as they take pride in their hotel and provided excellent customer service. My husband is now looking

Checked in and found that I had selected standard room over my usual default setting of Plus. I returned to reception and asked for one of the available Plus rooms, but was told because I had entered the standard room and there was no housekeeping the room could not be resold and I would have to remain in standard. I had literally walked in the room looked around and walked back out. I settled for the standard room based on receptions response. The room was tired, it was in need of a deep clean, curtains had holes in them, under the bed were pull out single beds and uncovered quilts, mattress protectors, it look soiled but I only discovered this in the morning as I dropped a deodorant can which went under the bed. Bottom line, I have always been a Premier Inn advocate, yes I made a booking mistake, the standard room cost me £212 for one night, it was dirty, tired and in much need of a ln overhaul. I get these are frequent use rooms but you expect a certain standard and unfortunately on this occasion Worthing fell short of my expectations and value for money. Further more free underground parking has been replaced with £10 fee for 24 hours, no complimentary WiFi, no smarts app on the room TV, pillows felt budget… and so on. Yes it comes across as disgruntled but my error aside I feel my stay was not a pleasant one and I will be considering other alternatives in future.

The pillows were not very soft, bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately we were not told you have to ask for your room to be cleaned and made up and, despite asking and leaving the 'Please make up our room' sign on the door handle we returned to our room at 11pm to find it as it was when we left it. Very disappointing. The bathroom was very tacky, ceiling paint was flaking, toilet bowl was dirty and it was in need of a make over
