"10/10 brilliant stay."
Premier Inn on Gatwick North is so convenient it's almost criminal. The booking process is so straightforward and easy to amend and add things like meals. Checking in was straightforward and we were able to upgrade to a Premium Room with a fridge and coffee machine as our times changed at the last minute. The room was beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable. We always sleep well in a Premier Inn bed. We booked evening meal and breakfast as a meal deal. Getting in to the restaurant was a bit of a faff as members of the general public can't read!! The sign clearly said that you had to pre reserve a table at reception and only to get in line if you had done so. But the three parties in front of us couldn't read and caused a bit of a fuss that they wouldn't be admitted immediately!! Once inside though it was a nice relaxed meal of good quality and great value for money. Breakfast was quicker and easier and well presented, plentiful and delicious. All we had to do was walk across the road and up in the lift to find ourselves at Departures. Two minutes from start to finish. Perfect!
"Small room"
A decent stay, though the rooms are small, with insuffcient space for larger suitcases to be opened comfortably. So nice to be at the terminal, without any sort of transport needed in the morning!
"Perfect start to holiday"
We arrived the night before our flight, and the check-in process was a breeze. The room was clean and quiet, just a stone's throw from the airport. We took advantage of the moonlight check-in to save some time at 3 AM. The next day, getting through passport control went much smoother than in past years when there was that hectic rush for check-in. This is definitely a strategy we’ll use again in the future.
"OK for one night"
On exiting the terminal and crossing over to the hotel, the first entrance is not in use with a sign pointing to the main entrance. The large glass doors were grubby with cleaning stuff, etc, visible. Maybe cover the windows to make it more inviting looking? Although I had already checked in on line the queue to get my card key was long and disorganized, then to get up to the room and find it didn't work and having to join the queue again was to put it mildly ..annoying The room was large with a super comfy bed and a great walk-in shower. Unfortunately, the room was a lock off room with the one next to it, and I could hear everything from the room next door. The staff were pleasant and reasonably helpful. I did have a snack in the bar area, which was very nice and quick service, and a glass of rose wine was good quality and a reasonable price.
"Room with a view 🤔"
Room with a view, well I paid extra for their new option “room with a view” and I wasn’t disappointed. If you love watching planes it’s a good location, maybe pack some binoculars but in all fairness you can see which plane it is taking off/landing. Is it worth the extra fee pounds, yes if you like plane spotting or want to be entertained before your holiday.
