"Guest Relations - Useless."
I pulled into the hotel lay by to drop the cases and family before moving on to park. There are no signs to help with parking regs, so I asked the receptionist how long I could park there, and she told me 10 minutes. I moved the car in under that time, only to find after my holiday that I had been fined £100 for being in the lay by. I called the hotel and was told the lady should have told me to enter my Reg No on a pad on the desk, which would have to avoided a penalty, I was also told the lady was new and under training. Failing to give me that basic bit of information cost me £100, so I wrote to 'guest relations' to complain. After quite some time I received a reply saying guest relations do not deal with car parking issues, and they have forwarded my complaint to the hotel manager to deal with. Three weeks passed and nothing, so I wrote back to guest ralations to further complain about being sidelined, and guess what, now they have sidelined me, no reply. My son, who arrived 1 hour after me had exactly the same problem, costing him £100 as well. Have to say, the hotel and the rooms were good, but not great value in the end having cost £100 more than planned.
"Super easy to get to from the train station, even easier to the terminal"
Didn't want to have to get up at 3 am to get early taxi and train to Gatwick before our holiday, this served us well. We took advantage of the evening meal and breakfast offer too. Slept very well. Was showered and refreshed and fed before our flight, no overpriced airport food for us
"Great hotel if flying from Gatwick Airport"
Good hotel to stay if you are flying from Gatwick as it's directly opposite the North Terminal. Rooms are quiet and clean and there is a nice Bar as Well as an on site Restaurant.
"Ileana is amazing"
Massive thanks to Ilenana for making our stay, nothing was too much for her and we cannot thank her enough for her help. This lady definitely deserves a pay rise for her exceptional personal skills.
"Excellent location proving stress free stay with consistent reliable quality"
Booked in advance, chose a plus room (worth the extra) go for high floor with a view. Check in as soon as you can and relax. Power shower , air con and Tv with comfy bed, little fridge with water and some treats. Booked excellent value meal deal with comfort food dinner (remember to book a table before you arrive) and breakfast in the morning. Park your car in long term the day before and get the bus back to airport. Then In the morning you are a few mins walk from check in or security. Ignore winging negative views with people who cause their own issues. Don’t queue, check in advance on line and simply put your code in an activate a room key when you arrive. Use lift 4 I think in the inner hall by stairs as it’s less busy. If you are a group, take a seat and let one person queue for drinks and use a tray! Take extra tea milk coffee etc from reception before you go up! Activate two rooms cards just in case one does not work. Most importantly just relax
