"Please avoid. Trust the bad reviews"

I honestly never leave reviews but DO NOT STAY HERE I was meant to return next week but I’ve had to cancel this booking. I must say this is no reflection of the staff. It’s like something out of faulty towers. Someone will check you in, then you see they’re running the bar, the next they’re taking your order You need to book in dinner and the times goes quickly because they only have one cook. Currently I’ve been sat here for 30 minutes and haven’t had a drink let alone got food. Massively understaff - NO INTERNET. Even the wifi you pay for is terrible. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

On arrival was given our door card then was directed to where to go but not been here before and luckily another gest showed us the way to go. It would of been nice if a member of staff showed us.. Room was nice and clean. Looking out the window the window ledge was dirty and windows on the outside were the same. All the guttering was overflowing in light rain. Outside of the building needs a lot of maintenance before it falls into disrepair. Breakfast was cooked lovely and served by helen. The floor and tables were sticky ...

Room ok. All fire doors propped open . No decaffeinated coffee. Breakfast cold Out of date sauces on table. A member of staff although was lovely , personal hygiene a big issue

Booked a premier inn as they usually are a safe bet of a hotel. This hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. On arrival we joined a large queue trying to check in as there was only 1 staff member there. We eventually got into our room which was small, cold and had a horrible feel to it. We were greeted with an unpleasant smell of cigarettes/weed within our room. There was dirt in the sink and clumps of hair in the bath/stuck to the bathroom tiles, disgusting. When going back down to reception to grab a drink from the bar, the buzzer was pressed 4 times with a 15 minute wait for someone to actually be at the bar. The receptionist guy that had previously checked us on showed up and then began working behind the bar. The pint of beer me and others had was cloudy and tasted horrendous. There was no atmosphere, the toilets as well were shocking and disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We came and stopped for a couple of nights and found the beds to be very comfortable and room was found to be home from home.. we stayed for breakfast both mornings and found the waitress (Helen) to be very pleasant and helpful and could not do enough for us ….my husband really enjoys black pudding but other places does not do it to his satisfaction but the newly appointed chef (humiz) did to the point where he ordered more .. we will definitely be and have already booked again ..
