Ashington hotel

My partner and I stayed at the Premier Inn Ashington for two nights at the end of the first week in August. First of all we had no problem with sleeping. The bed was excellent and met the usual high standards of the hotel group. We did however find it strange that in a two bedroom occupancy there was only one hand towel provided. We had found this to be the case in other Premier Inns. The TV in the room worked but gave no listing of the channels so that you had to scroll each individual channel to find what was on. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the receptionist who took payment for breakfast during our stay. He didn't tell us there was a meal deal if you had an evening meal. We only found out about this the second night when we had a meal and consequently didn't get this benefit. On the Sunday morning of our stay there was a fire alarm at 5 pm. Whereas I cannot fault the efficiency of the stsff to check everyone was present I was surprised there was no mention /explanation of the event at breakfast later or an apology for the inconvenience caused, particularly to families of young children who shivered for over an hour in the car park. The alarm obviously hadn't been caused by a fire! I have always praised the excellence of Premier Inns having stayed in a good few over the years. However I am starting to see the format getting a little tired and probably due for an overhaul.

Called in here again for an evening meal in the restaurant. It is not far from where we live and we eat out in different places weekly and keep coming back here as the food is really good and such good value for money. The service is prompt and our waiter, Rhys, was very pleasant and efficient when serving us. The smothered chicken is our favourite meal here but to be honest there is nothing on the menu that is not to like. The Dairy Milk ice cream sundae is delicious.

We had a fantastic stay at the Premier Inn Ashington and would highly recommend it. From check-in to check-out, every member of staff was friendly, professional and always willing to help. A special thank you to Janice, who went above and beyond during check-in to assist us with our booking. Her kindness, efficiency and warm welcome made a wonderful first impression and set the tone for the rest of our stay. Our room was spotless, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring we enjoyed an excellent night's sleep. The hotel is beautifully situated within Queen Elizabeth II Country Park, offering easy access to local attractions, shops and scenic surroundings. We also enjoyed dining at the pub next door, where both the breakfast and dinner menus offered a great variety of fresh and delicious options. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm, welcoming and relaxing. A huge thank you to Madaline N, Sian, Chloe, Laura, Grace, Jess, Amanda, Jenni & Ruby, as well as the rest of the team, for making our stay so enjoyable. Their exceptional customer service, cheerful smiles and attention to detail truly made a difference and helped create a memorable experience. We look forward to returning in the near future. Room was clean but a bit dated, reminded me of a travelodge rather than a premier inn. All the staff from reception to the restaurant were great and helpful. Food in the restaurant was good and the portion sizes were good, breakfast was a buffet so you could have as much or as little as you wanted.

The friendliest Premier Inn ever. All staff were so friendly and, well just brilliant! Ate in the pub next door. All of the staff there were brilliant too. They were hard working and constantly taking care of you. You only needed to look and they were cheerfully asking if they could help. See you all next time!
