"Previous Customer Probably not Future Customer"
We have stayed at a number of Premier Inns in the past, including this one. We have, until now, always found them to be clean and comfortable. This was not the case during our recent stay. It was obvious our room had not been properly cleaned for some considerable time. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling, the handwash container was filthy, there was thick dust on the bedhead, windowsill and furniture. It was obvious that the room had not been properly hoovered as there was thick dust and dirt round the bed and castors. There were no pillowcases on the spare pillows. The toilet seat was broken. We reported the toilet seat issue but it took 2 days for a repair to be made. We also reported the other problems, which should have been addressed by housekeeping but were not. The public spaces in the hotel were also in need of a deep clean, the dining room furniture needed a good dust. I would not include the food or drink serving points in this comment - they were always spotless. We were offered a change of room but, as we were only there for 3 nights and the rest of the hotel seemed to be equally neglected, we declined. I have to say Ian was very helpful but it was obvious that there have been cutbacks in housekeeping and that no-one checks the rooms between occupancy. This hotel is in need to a deep clean and refit.
"Room good. Food poor"
Restaurant was poor. Hot puddings were frozen in the middle at dinner. Standing in at the hot food stand fir 30 minutes to be told, we don't have any eggs or bacon left. If we were late down we would have expected this, but we wasn't. They had a lot of other items missing from the menu too
"Really lets premier inn down"
Very poor. Mould on bathroom ceiling, couldn’t check in because of card failure, staff smoking outside my bedroom window, breakfast not available at stated times (they said 0630, but wasn’t ready until much later), broken desk lamp with electrical hazard. Hotel looked battered and unkempt.
"Total let down"
Today i travelled down from glasgow with my family to stay at harrogate premier inn. Upon arrival i was told the restaurant was fully booked for dinner which i was told was my own fault as i hadnt booked . This although disappointing i can accept. What i can not accept is the cleanliness of my the room given ..room 207. The fourth bed was not made up and the stanined uncovered quilt was rolled under the bed . The whole place is matted with dust ,headboards filthy ,walls badly marked and ceilings covered in dampness which is not ideal when my daughter has asmtha. I have spoken with reception and in fairness the gentleman apoologised ,supplied and bed sheet but there is no other room available . I have no alternative but to accept .
"Great service"
Excellent service with Conner always on hand and given us outstanding service. The hotel is good value, and you s in a good location.
