Harrogate Town Centre hotel

We stayed for two nights for our 10th wedding anniversary. What a let down !!! Staff failed to read booking notes about the special Occasion. The rom Was a premier in plus room- there was nothing plus about the room!!! It was freezing on arrival , no towels , no hand wash no shower gel they were all empty. The bed was awful !!!! It was hard and lumpy and we had pillows that were so thin and flat . Having had brain surgery even with the spare pillows I could not sleep I was so uncomfortable. There was a lot of wear and poor cleaning to the room : Mouldy shower head Dirty toilet, Just to list a few . Breakfast was cold at the buffet counter , food was over cooked and had been sat so long the bacon wanted to walk To the bin. The coffee machine was always in error mode. Tables were Wiped before we were seated but no one replaced the cutlery , napkins . Our stay was no where near what we expected , total let down especially for such a mile stone in our marriage . We paid a lot of money for the two nights we stayed and it wasn’t worth it if like to know how I get that back !!! Stayed on loads of these hotels all been very good but sadly this one is awful

PARKING: Right next door with acceptable rates, this is a separate company and nothing to do with Premier Inn. The staff here at Premiere Inn Harrogate Town Centre, were polite, friendly, warm and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was well equipped, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was hot and tasty. We opted for the full hot and continental breakfast which left us full, and such a lovely array of choices, along with teas, coffee and a selection of juices.

I have stayed in several premier inn hotels and never had an experience like this. Check in and location were fine thereafter it went downhill. The room was tired and dirty as were all the shelves in the room and dining area. Bar service in the evening was being done by the security guard, who obviously did not want to be there, when he finally came to serve you he was quite unpleasant. They ran out of glasses and at that time there were only 6 of us in the bar Breakfast was a disaster , there was very little choice as they had run out of most items and no sign of replenishing the items before we had to leave. Dirty glasses, cutlery and the tables were not being cleared or cleaned properly. We were not alone and several people left without breakfast

Unfortunately, the only positive about our stay was the location being close to town. Firstly, upon our arrival, there was no one at the reception, after 5 mins we were greeted by what looked like a security guard, when entering our room we noticed the state of uncleanliness. There were stains on the sheets, dust and rubbish behind the bed, hairs in the sink, dirty bathroom floor but on top of that we haven't received any towels, toilet paper or a bath plug. Thankfully, a staff member found one for us that he took from another room. Breakfast experience was another downfall, waiting around to get checked into the dining area on the first day. Staff were preoccupied with eating breakfast and drinking coffee, sitting on the sofas chatting. We walked into the dining area and haven't been asked if we have prebooked (what's the point of paying for breakfast when we could have gotten away without paying???) On our second day, there was only one worker who was on her phone, not giving a crap what was going on around her, unorganised chaos overall ! We won't return to this one again. Instead, we will stay at Harrogate South, where we never had a problem with our stay. Poop performance from everyone.

Arrived with my family (partner and 2 young children) in the evening for an overnight stay, no one at the desk. Rang the bell, waited, and waited, and waited. Eventually someone (who I think was a security guard?) checked us in and didn't exactly looked thrilled to be doing so. Room was very tired looking, a funny smell and the USB port, half the lights nor TV worked. We turned in for the night. Awoke for breakfast, couldn't get out the corridor as connecting door wasn't working. No one there to show us a table, so we just sat down. Breakfast was undercooked & luke warm. Coffee machine was flashing / in need of a service ... Finally someone who worked there did show up and just seemed to be wandering around, people asking for various breakfast related items (such as cutlery ... which seemed to be a premium item) and basically fobbed off. One of the lifts stopped working, (a rather distressed older gentleman was in reception who got stuck in it telling passers by) no one seemed to care. We left, promptly. Didn't even check out ... as there's no one on the desk to help you. Overall, very disappointing. It's in a great location and if all you want to do is literally get your head down, then it's OK I guess, but for £140 a night you'd be better with an AirBnB imho. My advice to whoever runs this place is refurbish it from the top down and employ people who actually value customer service.
