"Fabulous hospitable hotel."
Great gem of a hotel right beside the sea. This may be a small hotel but it doesn't disappoint. It's literally a stones throw from the beach which is amazing! It's so handy being next to the Pleasure Beach. It's a fair walk along Gt Yarmouth's Golden Mile (main street of beachy things) and the Premier Inn is at the very top end but at least you can't get lost. The rooms are what you'd expect from a PI and ours was perfectly clean, tidy and everything worked. The free WiFi is spotty but there is an option to pay for a premium one. Our room was too large for the air con to have any effect but the staff were kind enough to supply a fan when we asked. I suggest you take your own fans if you're going in summer as the windows don't open. The staff are extremely kind, friendly and helpful. Mum hired a mobility scooter for the week and the hotel were happy to take delivery of it before we arrived. We ate breakfast at the Beefeater, adjacent. It was completely self serve and there was lots of choice. Staff there were lovely too. Unless you know the area, find somewhere to eat in the evening is really difficult as lots of eating places close at dinnertime (go figure). As a result, the Beefeater is your best option but you will 100% have to book really early to get a table. If you'd rather have a takeaway though, the hotel doesn't mind as long as you wait to collect it. I'd highly recommend staying here. It's a lovely place and helped make our holiday a wonderful experience.
"Some areas of improvement, especially the restaurant"
The ease of parking and registering our vehicles for our entire visit was a great way to start. The hotel is clean, and staff come quickly if you need anyone, but have self-check in, too. Check in was efficient but we were there just before 3pm. After that, the queue built rapidly. The room was clean, so spacious with such a comfy bed which excited me for a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, the noise coming from adjacent rooms were horrendous and kept me awake until the small hours and from just before 5am. The people upstairs were constantly stomping from before 5am and sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling. The children next door sounded like they were jumping on beds, doors were slamming, so much so that the spoon fell off the cups from the vibration! It was truly frustrating! The Beefeater restaurant needs more staff for efficient service, as I was waiting to be served at the bar for nearly 10 minutes, which is unacceptable. We were given just two sittings for breakfast in the morning, 830 or 10am, we chose the latter due to having children who were likely to sleep in after a very busy day before. The food was luke warm, pancakes were 'warmed up', rubbery and inedible. There were no clean cups for hot drinks, nor were there any small plates for toast and pastries. It was a disappointing breakfast.
"Lovely surprise."
Had a lovely time at yarmoth premier inn. Used as a Base for fun, sun, and family time. Its location is lovely when you've had a long day of noise and amusements, its quiet and lovely views. We had a nice surprise when we got back to hotel room, I asked if we could have sheets changed, they had re arranged kids toys on their beds to all of them reading a story. Really lovely touch the kids loved it! Great surprise.
"Fantastic stay"
Lovely, clean and convenient hotel right on the sea front. Unfortunately we didn't get a sea view but you can't have everything especially when we were only there one night. The majority of the staff were super warm and friendly. The room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Breakfast the next day had so much variety and filled us up until lunch. Parking available on site too. A really great stay.
"Jekyll and Hyde hotel "
Hotel location is great. Can't imagine staying here without booking a sea view room. But the Beefeater was awful. Breakfast was a total rip off due to poor cooking and service. We had a good breakfast experience recently at the Dover A20 premier inn hotel so decided to take our chances..... but boy did I regret it! The reviews about the hotel food being cold and poor quality and the service are true. Hotel yes. Restaurant a big Noooooo!
