"Beefeater was terrible. "
The rooms are what you expect. The Beefeater restaurant, which is all part of this hotel, was not the best. The evening meal was OK. The breakfast was cold. I watched a member of staff tip a half bowl of cold beans into a " hot" bowl of beans. This just made them cold. There was no sign of a thermometer being used to check the food temperature. The fried eggs had that hard skin, which forms after they had stood for a long time. The benches in the restaurant, the plastic coating was peeling off, so plucked clothing. When we checked out, all the check out person could do was smile. NO, "How was your stay?" Q;- Would I use it again? A:- It would have to be my last choice. There are plenty of other hotels.
"Useful tips for staying at Premier Inn Seafront Great Yarmouth"
Sat Nav routes may take you via "Main Cross Road then turn right onto South Beach Parade, turn left into the Premier Inn. This could be dangerous as it takes you into the path of vehicles turning right from South Beach Parade into Main Cross road. I suggest turning left 30 -50 metres when you can turn right. See photo. The car park in front of the hotel costs £6 a day, the larger car park to the side of the hotel is free but you must enter your reg number in reception. There is plenty of car parking in Great Yarmouth, car parks budget £3+ an hour during the day until 9.00pm. On road parking is free after 6.00pm. The rooms we had the air con needed to be manually switched on at night. The system is "Locked" - centrally controlled? Service is provided at breakfast. If you order beans on toast you do your own toast and wait for the beans to be brought to your table.
"Not as good as previous visits"
Have stayed previously here , but we didn’t really enjoy our latest visit , the room felt grubby , there is stains on most materials , the bathroom plug was covered in grime , the carpet was grubby . It was very stuffy in the room , I am someone who likes to sleep with windows open , the windows in this hotel are are sealed shut , the air con didn’t help , as it sounded like running water and turned off after a while , We had a sea view room which was nice but again would have been nicer if there was some air flow . Location Is not to bad if you like walking , it’s about a mile or so down to joyland area , good for pleasure beach tho. Parking is first come first serve , most days was at least 6-10 spare spaces ( during half term) Breakfast wasn’t anything special , just a help yourself buffet of slop , luckily it wasn’t to busy , would be better if I he chef made omelettes to order .
"Disappointed"
Unfortunately not the best premier inn Stay i have had. Very disappointed. The room was so warm we were unable to sleep despite using the air con in the room, which was very loud also contributing to getting no sleep. We booked breakfast which we did not end up having firstly due to the lack of sleep we got. Secondly due to the unwelcoming feeling we got when we entered to purchase a drink the evening before. It took 20 mins to be served at the bar which wasn't overly busy and wasn't served in a welcoming manor. When we returned after an evening for a few hours. Our empty drinks were still on the table we sat at. We again waited at the bar a considerable amount of time, it wasn't busy at this point. Again greeted with an unwelcoming member of staff. I generally always stay in premier inn and have breakfast as I find the service and good rest I get really consistent. Unfortunately this time I was very disapointed and feel I had wasted my money.
"Very disappointing"
Despite telling reception to clean the room this was not done. Found the room in the same condition when left in the morning. No towels. No coffee despite my company paying excess of £ 100 per night. Parking not clearly marked which car park. Also breakfast burnt toast coming out machines. Really bad service.
