"Not bad for the price"
A great location to be close to the beach and also town. Our room was okay but had a funny smell and not as clean as I expected.

"Breakfast way below Premier Inns normal standards"
This was our third stay at this hotel on the past twelve months, previously we've really enjoyed our visits however I must say on this occasion the breakfast was a huge let down, we stayed for 2 nights, arriving for breakfast on the first morning we were told no mushrooms, the hot food self service buffet was lukewarm at best with cold hash browns, and they had no Weetabix our normal cereal.
The second morning things got worse, were we told they had no mushrooms and no eggs believe it or not, the hot buffet was again a huge disappointment, hash browns were cold, bacon was cold and even the beans were cold and there was no black pudding. As for cereal no Weetabix again.
This was by far our worst Premier Inn and quite frankly the breakfast offering was unacceptable and way below Premier Inns previous standards.

"not enough staff but nice overall"
Good location by the beach. Lots of shops, cinema and bowling. Nice atmosphere by the sea front. Rooms are as you would expect from a Premier Inn. Okay value for what you get but you can tell there isn't enough staff and sometimes no staff at all. Cleanliness has dropped in public areas. Hotel is usually quiet but expect a queue on check in as there is not enough staff. At night time the lake behind the hotel is all lit up so looks nice. The hotel night staff must be the only ones that get it quiet they seemed to be watching films and playing games everytime i went out for a smoke. Maybe you could put one of them at check in instead? Overall nice hotel and everyone seems friendly.

"Not quite what we were expecting from Premier Inn"
We were booked in for three nights. We liked the location and the free parking but the rigidly enforced 3 Pm check in unless you pay an extra £15 was disappointing. The room decor was a little tired but the comfort of the bed was excellent.
The staff we met were great but were let down by poor breakfasts when on day one the granola and mushrooms went missing and on day 2 there was still no granola and no eggs of any type and most of the hot breakfast was at best luke warm .There was also no black pudding or no fresh fruit to finish .
Hopefully this is resolved for our third breakfast

"Staff are in need of better training and customer care."
The hotel is in a great location by the seafront and the room's are clean, comfortable, and exactly what you would expect from Premier Inn. Overall the value for money is reasonable for the service provided, although the staffing are not quite what they used to be with the restaurant closures.
Matt on reception deserves a special mention. He is fantastic, extremely professional, quick to respond and always happy to help with anything you need. His customer service and care really stands out.
One area for improvement would be the bar opening hours. It would be great if the bar were open throughout the day, even if food wasn’t served until later in the evening, as it would provide a space for guests to sit and socialise.
During check-in, there was a queue at reception, and I noticed that the restaurant staff didnt come through to assist despite the restaurant being quiet, which meant there was a big wait upon arrival. However, the receptionist 'Matt' handled th queue very efficiently and got through everyone quickly despite having no additional support from the staff next door.
Overall, it was a good stay, but unfortunately, the hotel doesn’t quite offer the same experience it once did.
