Southport Central hotel

Friendly and efficient reception. Comfy bed and clean, quiet room. Great shower. Breakfast was excellent and great value.

Stayed for 2 nights (£250 BnB including parking). Firstly, it's a great location with a massive free car park (you have to register your reg in the hotel) with a bit going on on the trading estate it's on (VUE cinema, Nandos etc). It's right next to the pier (shut at time of writing) and a 10 minute or so walk into the centre. Plenty going on in the centre, shops, pubs cafes etc. A fair few bookshops as well if you like that kind of thing. Southport looks like it's having a few quid spent on it as well - a few old buildings that have been closed for a while getting redeveloped. We went out of season, but it was still quite busy - so I expect it to be rammed in the high season with the kids off school. The hotel itself was pretty good (we have stayed before). No plus rooms as far as I could see but the quality of the standard room was more than adequate. Nice bath/shower. Breakfast was your standard Premier Inn fare served in quite a large room. Popular with kids when the suns out at the weekend. I'd probably stay again - as I have done before. Pretty good for a night or two.

A satisfying stay a Southport. We hope to return soon. Excellent facilities just outside the door. Cinema, bowling, food, and more. Perfect place to stay all round. The Brewers fayre was another excellent evening visit. Lovely food. Staff went out there way to satisfy your need's. Thanks Brewers fayre 5*

I booked this hotel online on 10th May at 20:45 . I booked for 6th June and carefully selected the check in and out dates . . However I did not notice when the confirmation came through via email that it had been booked for that night just 3 hrs remaining of that day and living 300 miles away . I then travelled to Southport and realised the booking was as incorrect. I spoke with the Southport branch and also Premiere via telephone and also online . I received a couple of different responses one being book again £124 for the night and then call again the next day to get refunded for the previous one, to just an outright no to swap the date of my booking . The money was lost, premiere just rude and yes in future I will check the booking confirmation email no matter how Sure I am I have input the correct dates . Will not use premier again.

Found out recently that the Brewers Fayre is closing down after September 2026. This is so disappointing as it is the highlight of staying at Marine Drive Premier inn. Especially as my husband is disabled. It is so nice to get up early and gain access through the reception door for breakfast, or to sit and relax. It would of been in their best interest to refurbish the restaurant in my opinion. The Brewers Fayre staff are so disheartened by this decision. I am certain many customers will feel the same. I believe it is to add on more bedrooms. Thankyou to all the staff for your hospitality. We will not be returning after closure of the Brewers Fayre. I am sure a lot of customers will feel the same. This is the way of the world in this day and age. Corporate management and greed.
