    "Poor premier inn."
Poor service and understaffed, long queues at the bar in the resteraunt. Ran out of items on the menu, excuse was waiting for deliveries.
    "Manager Caitlin needs retraining"
MANAGER NAME IS CAITLIN I’ve stayed here many times before and always never had a problem until this last visit. Started off getting over charged when checking in, (manager from hell sorted it (not)) Room has been given a cowboy paint job even down to paint on the back of the bathroom door. Receptionist walked straight into our room without knocking as had “forgot” she’d checked us in! Ate at the premier inn restaurant (please please bring back brewers fayre) no choice, my hubby enjoys fosters, calling, calsberg or Stella. All the popular brands but nope none of them available. Asked for a mocktail which was out of a can. Severely understaffed, no atmosphere. Breakfast the next morning which is supposed to be all you can eat, no mushrooms, no hash browns and no plans to cook anymore, had to wait for bacon and sausages. Apparently head office had been moaning about wastage. This was still 3/4 of an hour before breakfast was finished! Fast forward to leaving our room for our evening meal (not in the restaurant) we got stuck in the lift. Only for just over 10mins but my husband is claustrophobic and I hate lifts! We rung the alarm which went to an unanswered phone number so I tried to ring the hotel using the number I found on google after searching Cleethorpes premier inn. Finally after shouting and banging on the door we must have jarred the lift allowing us to pull the doors back. We went downstairs and admittedly I was a little overwhelmed when confronting the receptionist asking why she’d not heard the alarm or not answered the phone. She went and brought the manager from the restaurant. Now please bear in mind that I was on the verge or tears and shaking like a leaf when the manager came and was shocked to hear her say “sorry about that I’ll get it fixed” nowhere did she say “are you ok”, “would you like to sit down” etc. showing a little compassion. Nothing! She stated she couldn’t hear the alarm at the moment and how did I expect them to answer the phone when it was the wrong number??? (Googled number!) Then when I asked if that was it, she told me to go outside and read the sign that states they will not stand for any abuse! Why I questioned her what abuse, she said I was being intimidating (by this time still shaking and nearly crying yet I was being intimidating! Seeing as I was getting nowhere we left to have our meal but pretty much turned around and went straight back to check out even though we still had one more night to go. Manager just blanked us but I did apologise to the receptionist if I came across as abusive. She said she totally understood and didn’t think I had been. Spoke to customer relations today and was offered a partial good will refund AND they put my refund through for the breakfast overcharge which useless manager had incorrectly put through. We will never stay at Cleethorpes Premier Inn again. There are so many decent places to stay at Cleethorpes that it won’t be missed
    "We would stay here again!"
Me and my partner stayed here last year. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. On the first night we chose to eat at the hotel the food was nice. The location of the hotel is good and you can get to the beach pretty easily from the hotel via bus we chose to get a taxi though but if you wanted to walk it would be 25 minutes to 30 minutes walk. The beds were comfy. There’s a Chinese buffet across 5 minutes walk from the hotel we enjoyed the food here and it was a decent price. We would stay here again we had no issues.
    "Cleethorpes without Grandkids!"
As always, premier Inn offered great value for money, was clean and everything was as it says on the label. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful
    "Awful experience"
It was an awful experience. I was in cleethorpes for a very personal and upsetting situation and felt unwelcome from the check-in experience and Premier Inn policies. I would never trust the Premier Inn chain again unless desperate.
