Leicester City Centre hotel

My partner and I recently stayed at a Premier Inn and, unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. The biggest issue throughout our stay was the lack of staff availability. On the occasions when we did manage to find someone, we were often left waiting for a considerable amount of time before receiving any assistance. When we first arrived at our room, we discovered that the card reader used to operate the lights had come away from the wall, meaning we had no way of turning the lights on. I therefore had to make the journey 11 floors back down to reception to ask for help. When I reached reception, the receptionist was talking to another member of staff. I waited for a good five minutes directly behind her, despite them both being aware that I was waiting, before the receptionist properly acknowledged me. When I explained the problem, she offered to move us to another room — which, given that we had no lighting, was obviously the only realistic option. We packed up all of our belongings and moved to the new room, only to discover that the air-conditioning touchscreen was badly cracked and unusable. As a result, we couldn’t use the air conditioning at all. Unfortunately, none of the windows in the building appeared to open either. Although there were keyholes on the handles suggesting that the windows could still be opened in a safe way, we weren’t able to get them open, leaving us with no way of properly cooling the room. Once again, we had to make our way back downstairs to reception, where there was again nobody available to assist us, resulting in another wait. Eventually, we were allocated a lower-floor room where the air conditioning was working. Thankfully, this final room was perfectly fine, and we had no further issues. However, by that point we’d had to move rooms twice and make multiple trips to reception simply to get the basic facilities we should have had in the first place. We normally have high expectations of Premier Inn, and we’ve stayed at Premier Inns previously without any problems. That’s why this experience was particularly disappointing. Sadly, after this experience, we’re now questioning whether Premier Inn will be our first choice in the future.

Location was great - proximity to the train station and restaurants. Room was MOSTLY clean though there's still water left in the kettle when I checked in. Steady supply of hot water and good water pressure. Breakfast was bad - rude staff and tasteless egg. Check in and check out process was easy so it's a plus.

Everything in this hotel was excellent as it always is I stayed here with my daughter as she visits me at weekends and I've stayed here before with friends and family always excellent from the staff to the area location to lendliness availability variety in the bar and the breakfast area not to mention a fantastic Unforgettable night sleep very very well recommended

Great location. Good views on the top floors. Friendly atmosphere. Housekeeper Mandy, very bubbly and attentive to her job. Room is always clean and fresh bedding. Front of house staff, Keanna and Sharon very friendly, kind, always polite, chatty. Very good at taking food orders, meals on time, freshly cooked and delicious 😋. Morning staff Paula and Toni always welcoming, keeps the breakfast area clean and tidy. Food is freshly cooked, very yummy and always enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning. I have stayed here over a month due to housing issues, no complaints, feel comfortable staying here, privacy maintained. Staff show respect and maintain dignity. Always work alongside the premier inn policy and values.

I can’t express into words how helpful Ellie-May was with me. She was so patient and professional. She spoke to me with kindness and respect and I have never experienced such a friendly welcome in all my travels. She did more for me than I expected. I would defo come back just because of her.
