"An enjoyable stay"
I enjoyed my stay at this Premier Inn, which is in a good, central location in the city centre. The room was comfortable and breakfast fine. However, what really stood out was the friendliness of the staff who gave helpful suggestions for places to eat during my stay. My favourite food is curry, so I'd definitely come to the right place! I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel, and Leicester in general, to others and look forward to a return visit soon.
"Excellent location, a bit more clean will be good"
Very conveniently located, 2 minutes walk from train station and a ton of restaurants and shops. Can do a bit more with general cleanliness and the lifts to the floors
"Thank you Steven"
Thank you Steven/Stephen. Very good service and was able to accommodate a late check-in being myself and one other. Was very kind and helpful.
"Lovely staff but rubbish food and tired building"
The only reason this was rated good is because of Jason and Nadine. They both interacted with our group and made us feel very welcome. These guys should be given something by the management to say well done as they made our stay fun and was a credit to the brand!!! As to the hotel its needs a lot of attention - the pipes make a very loud racket if to many people run their water at the same time otherwise every time you turn the water on it's like someone sighing, the furniture is old and tatty. The food is very limited and comes ready made just to be microwaved when ordered. The breakfast is a buffet so they can't really get that wrong. Car park is £10 a day plus extra if you want a receipt, it's nice to have one but the price is to high and it is very tight getting round if you have a large car, as some of us have found out to our cost. Across the road is the train station car park which is £15 a day. Even the people who we were there to see said they would not go to the area where the hotel was, people asking for money, not a safe feeling walking down Granby St. People we interacted with were so kind and lovely it's a shame
"Excited about the apparently upgraded and redecorated rooms"
I was excited to be staying at the apparently upgraded and redecorated rooms at the premier inn near the train station, but to my huge disappointment, nothing seemed to have been done. The first room I had, had not been touched at all, bearing in mind they had meant to have upgraded all rooms 3 years ago, as advertised on their website, so I asked to be moved to another room, yet again disappointed as it was old decoration, and not that clean. One of the managers who greeted me the first time seemed grumpy, but then when I checked in, the other team members seemed really nice, and it is now self check in! The lifts are the same, some old carpet near lift two hasn't changed, still very worn. I went for breakfast the next day and it was cold, yet it seemed fresh, not good value for £10.99, yeah it's all you can eat, but no thanks. All in all very disappointed, I will not be staying again.
