Blackpool (Bispham) hotel

We stayed for one night. The hotel room was clean but unfortunately had a very damp/musty smell when you entered in (each and every time), which we thought was coming from the bathroom. The bed was surprisingly soft - not the usual quality of a Premier Inn mattress) - so we found it a little uncomfortable. However, the hotel was quiet with no noise disturbance at any point. It also felt very secure with the 24 hour reception (with a member of staff present every time we passed) and keycard entry to access the corridors of the hotel. Parking cost a small amount, but this was easy to sort at reception on the ipad screen. When we checked in, the member of staff was very friendly and gave us some good recommendations about how evening meal. In the morning, we had breakfast at the adjoining restaurant. The food was served buffet style, with every display full and plentiful. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, attentive and very "on it" when it came to allergies. It meant we felt set up for our day of exploring.

Great location easy walking distance to the Bispham tram Station lovely restaurants near by and a few lovely micro pubs. Rooms are good clean and tidy staff very helpful and friendly breakfast was excellent great value for money

We stayed in a family room on the weekend of the air show, there was no weather warning and temperature was about 24 ISH outside. We understand there is no air-conditioning but given the temperature felt we would be ok. We were very wrong the hotel room window opens less than 1 inch due to safety. This was not sufficient air circulation for the room to cool at all. The room easily exceeded 30 degrees over night we used wet towels to try and cool the children and I kept having cold showers to try and help. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but booked out early as the room was clearly not suitable. I have been refunded for the night we didn't use but have been told that the good night guarantee does not apply when extreme weather is involved. I would have assumed extreme weather would have been when a warning was in place rather than a standard summer's day. The whole of the building with the family rooms in was super hot it wasn't until you got the stair well for reception that the heat decreased . In short if you have a family and it is anything more than 20 degrees outside save your money and sleep in the car. You'll have a more comfortable night. The staff on reception on the morning were helpful and kind but unfortunately they were not able to do anything as the hotel facilities are inadequate, let's hope your health and safety department review the conditions before you end up making a child or other guest really poorly.

It's a Premier Inn so you know what you are going to get. It's located in the small centre of Bispham with a few shops locally. Hotel has always been neat and tidy and well maintained. Plenty of car parking. It's just outside Blackpool. It's a long walk into town, so you'll probably need a cab or a bus. The tram stops are a 15 - 20mins walk from the hotel
