"Room for improvement"
Great location and friendly, helpful staff. What I did not like: Having to ask reception if I wanted my room cleaning, bins emptying or towels changing. Rooms should be checked everyday and appropriate actions taken as a matter of course. The air conditioning possibly needs a service. Saying that it did take away the smell of sick in about 2 minutes. The smell as you first enter room 314 is quite strong, get the aircon switched on asap for a more pleasant experience. Starting to look a bit tired. Could do with a spruce up and a deep clean.
"Good Stay"
Hotel room exceptionally clean & well maintained. Great 40 inch Samsung wall mounted TV with separate easy access HDMI & USB ports panel built into wall under TV. Perfect for Fire TV Stick Devices. Shower was a bath/shower & had a rainfall shower head with great water pressure & easy to control temperature. Double bed size is generously big. Comfort level is good. Room is also very spacious. Teas & Coffee included in the room. Kettle is a decent size & clean inside & out. No biscuits in room unfortunately. Could do with a recycling bin. Staff are great. Very friendly & welcoming. Always happy to help day or night. Restaurant was closed for upgrade during our stay. No noise pollution during the weekends or Monday morning. Full refund on meals (breakfast & dinner). So wasn’t disappointed because of it. On-site car park has plenty of spaces, is free & is well tarmacked. Just have to register your car registration & select duration of stay on a screen at the check-in desk. Biggest misfortune has to be the WiFi. Only 7/8 Mbps for the paid WiFi. Not much better than the free WiFi. Can be slow & kick your device off. Hotel Manager refunded the cost of the WiFi because of this issue.
"Fabulous hotel in a great location!"
This is very near North Pier and it is in a perfect location. I’ve been here several times and the family rooms and normal rooms have been spacious and clean and felt new. You get a discount on the parking which worked perfectly and the train station is nearby. Great atmosphere in this hotel. Would always stay here in Blackpool. Make sure you book a breakfast time as it is very busy!
"Adversity shows quality....Premier Inn has zero quality and even less competence"
Expect nothing and you will not be disappointed. We stayed at the premier inn as a group playing golf locally in a disabled golf tournament. 1. My colleague had no water in his room for 2 days (he was given another key to shower in another room), eventually we moved with no help from the staff. 2. Staff were friendly but possibly had contracts that stopped them being helpful or assisting elderly, disabled persons. 3. Breakfast was badly informed as being in reception (due to ongoing works). A few bananas and mass produced pastries with a solitary coffee machine was the reality. 4. 12.15 AM we had a fire alarm, three times with the last one resulting in everyone (maybe) leaving the hotel and milling around the car park. There was no control, a gy running round with a high-viz vest passing messages from the fire brigade. There was lady with a high vis-vest and luminous bag who said nothing and did nothing. Scary thought was if this was a real fire, the lack of control would have been responsible for loss of life. I never saw name taking, mustering , nothing.......a complete shambles. Babies, old people all standing in the cold of night.
"Clean, comfortable and convenient"
Hotel undergoing renovation so bit of a mess outside, and no meals available but we appreciated the takeaway breakfast provided. Rooms were clean and comfortable but Disability Access room, whilst having rails and alarms had the shower over the bath making it inaccessible to my elderly mother. I was expecting a walk in/wet room type arrangement. Free parking and free Wi-Fi good but not enough disabled parking spots. Staff helpful and friendly.
