"Been better but still good value."
Was not told until late that there was no restaurant or bar due to building upgrades. Check inn was very good the receptionist was very good. We had 2 rooms one was in good condition but the other had chunks and wall damage. Both rooms were clean although cleaning staff forgot to clean our rooms even though we requested it the night before.
"Brilliant"
Very clean hotel, brilliant staff, nothing too much trouble thanks for an enjoyable evening which was a surprise birthday present for my husband. First stay in a hotel for my 4 month old granddaughter.
"Too hot for sleep"
The staff on reception were so welcoming and helpful. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The downside was the room being too hot, during the night especially. There was a window that could open, but only slightly. There was also a fan in the room. Unfortunately neither helped. It wasn’t a particularly warm day either and had rained on and off throughout. We weren’t able to lower the temperature and the temperature control switch appeared to be set at 25.5 and couldn’t be altered manually. This is far too warm for a good nights sleep. The duvet had a bad stain on it which could be seen through the cover. This was quickly rectified by the staff. Not the greatest night away.
"Room very hot"
Typical premier standards however the hotel and attached restaurant is currently being renovated we were only informed of this a week prior to our stay. Our room was extremely hot of a night thermostat did nothing to elevate this and it wasn’t a hot day either when we stayed. Fan provided but did nothing to cool the room so not a great nights sleep.
"don't go till they finish the refurbs"
Hotel is undergoing refurbishment, which they don't tell you till you get there. dinner was canceled and breakfast was extremely minimal
