      "Truncated Stay "
      Having booked for 3 nights, we left after one due to problems elsewhere. While the room was spacious and the bed comfortable, the room itself was like an oven . The window was open but the fan provided was of little help. Given the prices charged, Premier Inn should make air conditioning standard in all rooms. The Premier Inn app is very misleading, two sets of prices but not showing what the extra charge is for. No issue with the staff at the hotel, but won't be rushing back.
      "An excellent base for exploring the Island"
      We have used this Premier Inn as a base for several trips to the Isle of Wight. The location for us is ideal as you can park the car close to the hotel and walk into Newport along the bank of the Medina river. On this visit we were fortunate in having a room overlooking the river so it was possible to watch wildlife and boat traffic in comfort. The staff at the hotel were all very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant suited our needs both for breakfast and for the occasional evening meal.
      "One of the Best"
      We choose to stay at Premier Inns around the UK fairly often. This is in our experience one of the best. All corporate standards are met to a high degree, the hotel is conveniently located for all the Isle of Wight's attractions and a short walk to Newport town centre should you need shops, ATM, etc. What makes this Premier Inn special is undoubtedly the staff. Always welcoming, friendly and helpful. We will stay here again for sure.
      "“Good night guarantee a complete fallacy, even when you have a terrible night"
      We specifically requested two beds in a “twin” room but we had to make do with a sofa bed which was extremely uncomfortable and meant no sleep that night for my 83 year old companion. (She thought she would be alright but it was awful) We were also unable to open our window as people were smoking marijuanna right outside our window which was on the ground floor. We spent most of the following day trying to organise a proper twin room with two single beds. By the time this was sorted and we had finally moved in, we had wasted the first day of our five day stay. We are still waiting to get a response from the “guest relations dept.” We want a refund for the first night but, having spoken with the hotel receptionist at the time, the guest relations dept during our visit and finally sent 3 emails with our complaints, we have heard nothing. The “Good Night Guarantee” is worth nothing DO NOT BE TAKEN IN BY IT.
      "Another great stay"
      Another great trip to the Newport Premier Inn, wonderful team, Carrie was lovely, perfect night sleep with the famous beds, I do get a great night's sleep. For those who have not stayed at this hotel, it's a great location for a base to explore the IOW. Thank you everyone, please pass on thanks to the restaurant next door, even though we never ate there, we did have some drinks.
