"Great customer service"
Great location for exploring Portsmouth with good sized, clean and tidy rooms with really comfortable beds. Special mention to Simon who, when I contacted the hotel having discovered I'd left some items behind, was extremely helpful in locating them and ensuring their safe storage until a time when they can be collected,. Excellent customer service by this particular employee.
"Great location for a short stay"
Great location for a short stay. This was our second stay at this hotel. We chose it due to its location. Just a short walk to the historic dockyard around the corner. It is also within walking distance to Portsmouth Harbour station and shopping at Gunwharf keys is close too. Lots of restaurants to choose from there too. Room was spacious and clean. There was an issue with not enough towels and we mentioned it to reception and they left us some whilst we were out. We did not eat in the bar so cannot comment. We stopped for a drink and it was a nice bar with good atmosphere. Only downside was the ladies toilets smelt damp which was a bit off putting. All in all a good stay and we will return.
"Location,location,location"
I previously stayed in Premier Inn’s and booked one this time when visiting Portsmouth. This Premier inn is excellent. You could not ask for a better location for car park, historic dockyard and waterfront. Rooms are clean and quiet. The Premier plus rooms are even better with air conditioning. Staff are pleasant. A bit strange you have to request your room to be cleaned if staying more than 1 night. I would not stay anywhere else in Portsmouth.
"Great Location"
This Premier Inn is the perfect location for visiting Portsmouth and Southsea without needing the car. Rooms are a good size and clean with lovely views of the dockyard and we got a great night's sleep in the middle of a heatwave due to great air-conditioning. Only gave a 4 as check-in was chaotic and we were not shown the reduced parking tickets.
"Very convenient for the Historic Dockyard"
A midweek break and quite expensive, but we chose the location as it was directly opposite the Historic Dockyard where we would spend most of our time. Glad we upgraded to a Premier Plus Double with a View, as it actually overlooked the dockyards and was very quiet. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We decided against using the upgraded WiFi to avoid creating yet another login and the free wifi was slow but adequate for our needs. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast catered well for allergies but, as ever, a buffet style cooked breakfast is never the same as a freshly made one. The hotel is close to the Harbour railway and bus stations, and there were regular buses running in the evening to and from Southsea for access to more pubs and restaurants. It's also a short walk to Gunwharf Quays, if that's what floats you boat.
