Clacton-On-Sea (Seafront) hotel

On return to Clacton premier inn I can clearly see that time and effort is being put into make positive changes. The hotel manger and their team should be extremely proud of their efforts . Nice to come back to familiar friendly faces Emma Darren and Kaci but to name a few who go above and beyond can’t wait for my next stay!!! Keep up the good work

Stayed with my husband for 1 night in a Premier Plus Room (Room 203). The rooms are on the top floor of the hotel. Didn’t pay for a sea view so our room overlooked the car park, which didn’t bother us. The room didn’t deliver fully as it didn’t have the comfy armchair they say it has in their blurb. Also didn’t have a hairdryer so I had to go to reception and ask them to bring one for me, which they did. Rainfall shower was really poor and the water also fluctuated from hot to cold. Would be nice if a Premier Plus room had a socket either side of the bed but only one side did! Other than that the room was fine and having a fridge was good. The hotel was quiet when we stayed so no problem getting a space in the car park. Staff advised us that if we went over 24 hours we would have to pay for a further 24 (which would have been another £8). Instead we moved the car in the morning to the street which gave us an extra 2 hours free parking before we were ready to leave. On a positive note all the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. Didn’t eat in the on site restaurant so can’t comment on that.

Awful place! Didn't have high hopes and wasn't disappointed! Place from outside looks rundown - supposed to have sea views - not from the ground floor it's got a high untidy hedge in front of it! Room looked like it could do with a decorate and was dark and dingy. Surly looking girl in restaurant who advised us when our time was up in the restaurant at breakfast as they were busy and grabbing plates etc before we had hardly stood up! Don't be fooled by the location - the side roads etc around it are down trodden and look sleazy.

Easily accessible by road. Friendly, helpful staff. Booked an ccessible room as one party member has a disability. Window didn't open, for security reasons, and the room was very warm. Although there was air con, it didn't cool sufficiently. The team did however provide us with a fan on request. Good value and very clean. Room was very quiet, but hotel wasn't busy. Great service from all team members and great amenities. Would definitely stay again.

Very enjoyable stay, staff helpful and very accommodating. Room clean, quiet and comfortable. Plenty of hot water for a shower. Shower could be updated as it was over the bath. Not very good if you are unable to step over the bath easily. Should update to a shower room, due to shower in the bath it was also a bit slippery when in the shower.
