Clacton-On-Sea (Seafront) hotel

Very enjoyable stay, staff helpful and very accommodating. Room clean, quiet and comfortable. Plenty of hot water for a shower. Shower could be updated as it was over the bath. Not very good if you are unable to step over the bath easily. Should update to a shower room, due to shower in the bath it was also a bit slippery when in the shower.

Wow, the staff here are outstanding, I have never been made to feel more welcome- very clean hotel with great food- in fact, the breakfast was the one of the best breakfast I’ve ever had, I cannot say enough good things. Well done.

Shocking hotel. Especially the lady we spoke to who did do her job and forgot to log our complain. Head up this hotel has windows that dont open.

The hotel looks great from the outside. Parking is limited as it can be used for day visitor's to the area as well as guests. Luckily, we did manage to get a space, though. But that was a concern I'd rather not have. Plenty of staff around, if not, there's a bell to ring and a member of staff appears almost instantly from the staff room next to reception. All staff I encountered were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Downside was state of our kettle, which put me off having a coffee in the morning. Which wasn't the best start. Sadly, at breakfast, no vegetarian sausage nor bacon were available from buffet. On enquiring to the chef present, who was very polite and lovely, none had been cooked but he did offer to cook me some, which would've taken 8-9 minutes. Alas, I had already plated other items onto my plate, which would've been eaten within those 8-9 minutes. No fault to the chef, it was just very disappointing and to have paid that amount for breakfast, and not having options available to me. I feel the amount I paid didn't warrant the service. All the staff were constantly working. Not one was slacking, standing around. Honestly, the staff were such a delight.

Booked 2 rooms for my Mum, sister and myself we had a really lovely restful few days by the sea Hotel is in a great position on the seafront, easy walk to the shops and restaurants . Found all staff friendly and helpful. Booking a time slot for breakfast works really well. The outside of the Hotel building looks a bit grubby and a is bit off putting on arrival . The advice about the hotel says intermittent phone signal I would say there was none which is a problem but if you need to be in contact from family back home. I know internet connection isn't great in premier inn but this was the worst I've known it. I tried to buy the premium WiFi for 24 hours but wasn't even enough connection for that ! I couldn't access WhatsApp, any of my banking apps the weather apps, . I could access Facebook . For WhatsApp I had to go across the road to receive and send messages, and also to make phone calls. However this seemed to be a problem with any building in the area and down on the seafront so not necessarily a premier inn issue. However this is not enough to stop me staying here again . The reason I have only given 4 stars are (1) there was quite a big bit of plaster coming off the ceiling (room 7) (2) On 2 mornings my mum and sister asked for their room to be serviced/ cleaned but it was barely touched, bed wasn't made, bathroom hadn't been cleaned toilet paper hadn't been restocked neither had tea and coffee Other than that we really did have a great stay.
