Eastbourne hotel

We stayed at this Premier Inn recently for just one night. Our assessment is that it was clean and tidy and the reception staff member was welcoming and friendly. The room was clean although the bedside lamps needed a dust and the fan needed cleaning, but the bedding, towels, carpet and bathroom were clean. There was a full size bath, toiletries, hairdryer, and plenty of tea and coffee. There was a bit of road noise when the windows were open but fairly quiet at night. There were children playing in pub garden next door but it was quiet once it became dark. The thing I really didn't like were the pictures on walls of skyscrapers. Why? Why not local pictures? Our assessment is that it's better than the Premier Inn at Polegate and much better than the Eastbourne Travelodge, but not quite as good as the Premier Inn in Newhaven. We'd stay again for one night.

As a regular user of Premier Inns I was disappointed by this particular hotel. The cleanliness was below standard in both the rooms and communal areas, although the bathroom and bedding were clean. Floors , walls and carpets all need a good hoover, dust, mop and polish. Breakfast is at the adjoining Hungry Horse pub for which I will write a seperate piece , but again it was not particularly good ( not Premier Inns fault directly). For comparison there is on site parking , it is 2.7 miles to seafront and cheaper than the City Centre Premier Inn which does not have designated parking.

Despite recent reviews concerning poor cleanliness, our room was spotless and nice smelling. Handily placed for our purpose with free parking. No Premier Inn restaurant attached, but a Hungry Horse pub/restaurant on site. Breakfast excellent - Evening meal OK - good value. No Aircon, but we knew of that when we booked. Powerful and clever fan kept us reasonably cool.

The business has a luggage and bag pack storage facility. Super easy and comfortable to drop your bag and roam around freely. The staff are super friendly.

Terrible stay. We use premier inns regularly and find them to be clean and comfortable and good value for money. This stay was horrendous. We arrived late at night to a room without air con. The inability to open the window for air flow and a fan which had months of dust. The room hadn’t been cleaned for a long time as the dust was thick. The whole room smelt very unpleasant and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned and tiles were mouldy. We went to the desk to speak to a member of staff but no one around. The room overnight hit over 32c unacceptable for a family room. The next morning after a very unsettled nights sleep we went to breakfast. Met with a waitress who was rude and abrupt. Lots of cold items left out in a very warm room. Breakfast came and the plates were dirty and the food swimming in grease. The sausage uncooked. We left half way through, leaving our food. Avoid at all costs! Follow up Premier Inn customer service has been abysmal.
