    "Do not stay here!"
Absolute s**t show of a hotel Self check in that doesn’t work, lifts only go to the 6th floor and you have to walk up to the 7th( only they don’t bother telling you this at reception) Emailed week before to pre book early check in to be told has to be done arrival, arrived at 10.40am and told I had to wait till 11am. Waited and at 11am enquired again to be told all early check in rooms had gone?! To who?!!! You can’t pre book and you can’t enquire till 11am!!! Breakfast was like feeding time at the zoo, no hot water machine for making tea, endless queues for hot food as the kitchen staff bring out minuscule amounts on plates despite 10-15 people queuing, all hot and cold food together so if you want anything hot you have to queue with people wanting their cold ( ie cereals, pastries etc) AVOID!!!!!
    "Grotty hotel"
Hotel is a 15 min walk from the railway station. Buses are plentiful just outside. Seafront a 10 min walk away. Entrance to the hotel is through a grotty lobby area where the hotel have to position a security guard due to all the down and outs and drunk students that parade outside during all hours of the day and night. Only one lift was working so I walked up to the reception to be greeted by disinterested staff who were only interested in ushering me away from a check in desk with a person behind it to the dreaded self check in which takes too long and is a complete faff. My room on the 3rd floor was a good size and the basics in the room were ok and clean. The windows were grubby inside and out and didn't do a great job in blocking out the noise of drunk students and traffic below. At breakfast I had another poor welcome from the member of staff, then found out that there was no hot water for tea nor were there any pain au chocolat. The rest of the continental selection looked pretty limited too. Not good enough. A really poor hotel, in need of closing down and relocating to a better sight.
    "Disgraceful"
Nothing premier about this hotel, the whole place is grubby, only one lift working, disabled toilet out of order, carpets through out completely stained, everything smells stale. Check in at 3 is busy, no staff in bar or restaurant you have to go find them. Rooms are hot, windows do not open air conditioning doesn’t work. I will definitely not stay there again. Real shame this hotel lets the group down
    "Poor standard hotel"
On arriving there was rubbish in the entrance and only one lift working (talking to other guests this had been the same for a few days) Very dirty carpets in the public areas, walls need repairing & painting. In the restaurant there is a large screw keeping a window shut! In my room there was a large water stain on the ceiling. Yellow mould in the bathroom all along one skirting board. I hadn't noticed earlier or l would of asked to change room Plastic peeling off bedroom furniture Not enough staff although the ones on duty were polite & helpful. Wifi slow
    "Great location and friendly staff"
Great location. Good value. Louise on reception was really friendly and helpful. Large, quiet room. Close to shops, restaurants and theatre.
