Christchurch (East) hotel

Have been here several times. On a frequent convenient bus route into Bournemouth and half hourly service into Lymington. Good free car park. Restaurant attached but a Toby Carvery ten minutes walk or two minutes in car. Hotel in need of a refurb anytime soon. No walk in showers unless you book an adapted room which lets the place down greatly. As seniors we find the bath very high and difficult to get into and out of. A large Sainsburys and Stewarts garden centre five minutes walk. Aldi, Matalan and Burger Kings over the road The hotel doesn't quite look like the publicity photo which must be quite old.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Kayleigh who couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful!! She even made up the couch bed in the room for us to account for a health requirement!! Nothing was too much trouble we spent two nights there and every time we dealt with any of the staff it was with polite freindly warmth !! Thank you to all the staff you made our stay most pleasant!! Travelling as a group of four in two cars, my passenger and I were the second to arrive, some time after the first car. The first two hotel guests checked in, but when my passenger and I arrived there was no member of staff on reception to greet us and our room keys were left on the counter. Surprisingly we weren't required to complete a sign in registration form. Although the hotel website says 'free parking is available', it doesn't mention you need to sign your car in and with nobody on reception to inform me of this requirement or tell me how, I didn't do so. Despite providing the private parking company (Horizan) with proof of my hotel stay, I've been levied a parking charge. As well as this being disappointing and annoying, I'd add that having eaten in the adjacent Beefeater, when we finished our meal and wanted to order more drinks, we were asked to go to the bar, which we did and sat down to watch football on the TV. But on going to the bar we were informed it was closed and amazingly a member of staff just turned the TV off - it wasn't late!

Classic Premier Inn! Know exactly what you get for your money. Great service on check in and a lovely clean room. Staff in the neighbouring restaurant were great to find us a table even thought forgot to book

Bathroom needs cleaning mould around bath and toilet area. Bath was very high with no grab rail while standing in bath to have a shower. No shaver point, and hot towel rail. Restaurant serving area has stairs and is unsuitable for elderly people.
