Christchurch (East) hotel

Not good at all. Room was dusty,no shower gel in container. Went for a meal and felt sorry for staff member who had the embarrassing task of having to tell customers there was no draught beer, no pizza, no fish & chips and this list continued. The dining room was so dated, tired and grubby. The food we had was actually OK but breakfast was awful. Underdone bacon and sausages, scrambled egg just a big clump. Coffee machine not working. So I had just toast and a pain au chocolate not worth £10.99.. sad to see it so run down. Staff all lovely and feel for them.

Run down tired premier inn, I have stayed in many and this is not the standard I am used to at premier inn . Upon check in no acknowledgement from staff member who left us to try and work out the self checking machines , on route to room , corridors dirty with badly stained carpets , on arrival to room it was freezing cold and smelt badly of damp , when we tried to turn heating on the control had lost a battery and so a trip to reception to ask to be sorted, I was just handed a battery with no apology or any interaction! Just avoid this premier inn until they complete a refresh!

Ok I don’t usually do reviews but this time I feel I should do as we regularly use premier inns. This premier inn I’m afraid is tired and dated In need of a major overhaul. Our room just looked and felt dirty with marks all over the carpet, old cobwebs on the walls and the bathroom smelt of damp and the toilet seat looked discoloured, the bath taps were stiff and you struggled to turn them enough to get the water to come out for a bath, some of the lights didn’t work and the WiFi was the WORST I’ve ever known in any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The breakfast in the morning had everything you’d expect of a premier inn, a decent selection of cooked and cold items but the cooked breakfast was lukewarm (even though I was in as soon as it open) was certainly not worth the money. The only reason I’ve given 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the really good dinner we had on our 1st night in the restaurant and the guys behind the bar who were great and made us feel welcome 👍. I know we only paid £154 for Friday and Saturday night but this was certainly one of those times when cheap doesn’t equal cheerful.

Our room was nice, the bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. The major letdown was the breakfast. We thought it was quite expensive considering the eggs were hard and chewy and the sausages didn't look properly cooked. My wife avoided eating the sausages and eggs. That evening I had a bad stomach while I feel was caused by the breakfast.

Check in via a screen. There was a person but made no attempt to speak to us or help in anyway. No welcome! No toilet paper in the bathroom. Had to go to reception. Again just given the tool. No apology! Room was ok for the money. Breakfast - badly signed to show you where to go. If the person on reception welcomed us, they would have told us about breakfast and where and timings. ( There's wre no details in the room). The staff on reception for breakfast- 3 stood about chatting. One did welcome us and tell us what to do. The cereal area was mucky. Internally it was quite shabby, but Beefeater are closing down lots of their pubs so maybe this is just being run down. But still, the food areas should have been kept clean. We wouldn't go back there.
