"Short break"
Stayed here for a short break , reasonably priced ,good disabled access, close to the park and the pier. Breakfast reasonable ,evening meal was good. Friendly ,helpful staff. Lovely art deco building with great views of the seafront from the street facing rooms. Conveniently placed for park, beach, pavillion,Russell Cotes Museum and shops. Some good independent shops , plenty of places to eat, rest of town centre was disappointing
"One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Can't speak highly enough of the great team of staff headed up by Miguel"
Can't believe this was a Premier Inn. Most Premier Inns are clean and pretty much the same. This is an outstanding hotel where the service is equivilant to a five star hotel. The manager Miguel is the best. All his staff love him which means there is a great atmosphere where all the staff work as a team. We are two severely sight impaired friends travelling together. From the second we stepped foot into the hotel we were treated like royalty. Miguel was brilliant. He showed us to our rooms and made sure we knew where everything was. Light switches. tv controls and how to use the shower. He made sure we knew how to contact staff for anything we needed. I would say maybe this was special treatment because we are sight impaired but this is not the case. I witnessed Miguel making sure all his guests were happy. So he was helping couples with children and pushchairs when they were trying to negoriate the buffet. He had local knowledge to help people get the most of their stay. If he didn't know, he found out. He always had a smile and a joke to keep everyone smiling. I've travelled all over the world and stayed in some top class hotels. Who would believe that I would be rating a Premier Inn amongst the best I've ever stayed in.
"Disgusting room full of dirt and dust"
Avoid this hotel at all costs! Myself, wife and 2 kids (6 and 8) stayed for 1 night. There was no air conditioning which we were informed of beforehand so a fan was provided. We got back to the room around 10pm to go to bed and when I turned on the fan it sprayed dirt and dust all over the room including my sons bed who has additional needs. It was clear this fan had never been cleaned. As it was so late me and my wife cleaned the beds such as possible and took pictures of the dust everywhere so it could be reported in the morning as the room couldn't be properly cleaned at that hour without distributing everyone else. When it was reported to reception they were horrified and asked us to contact customer services re the good night guarantee. I did this and a week later got a reply saying sorry but you didn't report it straight away for us to fix so you just get a sorry! I have written to them again with my case reference WHB-2762359-L1Z0 explaining the reasons for waiting for the morning as what can you do at by then nearly 11pm to deep clean a room and have been completely ignored
"Holiday stay at Premier Inn Bournemouth centre"
The hotel has lived up to its reputation of great service and friendly staff. Miguel stood out as an exceptional member of staff. Thank you for making our trip a great one to remember.
"Not overally impressed"
From the outside hotel looked really nice, and the reception area was welcoming. Took a bit of time and some help from the security outside to find the lift to get into the reception (had a buggy). We were then located on the 8th floor, the lift wasn’t too spacious was a tight squeeze for a family with a buggy, but the ride was smooth. On inspection of the room there was mould on the walls in the bathroom and the door that lead to the balcony had a huge build up on dust on the frame, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. The beds were clean and comfortable with space to put the buggy and a travel cot. We had advanced warning that the air conditioning wasn’t working, and we were provided with a fan but this barely did anything to help with how hot the room was. We had a sea view and a balcony but the door didn’t open enough to really provide any air. Breakfast was small, didn’t have too much to offer, a small fry up with a couple of pastries and cereal. Wasn’t impressed considering the price, there’s a Wetherspoons round the corner, should have probably gone there for breakfast Overall it was an okay stay, but for the price of it and breakfast I expected a bit more. The pictures on the website upsell it for what it really was.
